This restaurant no longer exists; the owner died years ago, according to the owner of the restaurant next door. She told me to put this photo on Google because many people still go there thinking the restaurant is open.
This little vegan place is so amazing that I don't even know where to start from! Megumi is such a nice person and the hospitality is just marvelous. Food was incredible and the prices were great! The ambient in the restaurant was very rustic and authentic and when you sit at the bar everyone around you is super friendly and they're not shy to try and talk with you even if you end up talking in a mixture of Japanese, English and hand gestures. Now as for the food I tried; I had rice curry, miso shiro and gyozas and let me tell you that these were some of the best vegan Japanese dishes that I've had! Megumi seems to be the only one that works there (since it's her restaurant), she takes your order and gets cooking right away... You can tell from the flavor of the food that she cooks every dish with love and care! If you're ever in Osaka you HAVE TO visit this cozy little place, you'll meet wonderful people and have an amazing meal! Thank you Megumi, hope I can visit again!
Definitely the best okonomiyaki in Osaka. I loved that the place is 100% vegan and gluten-free. Would love to return to try the ramen as they pride themselves to be the best vegan ramen in Osaka. Definitely must do even if you are not vegan.
Hidden gem! It's quite hard to find even vegetarian food in Japan, so this was a great little vegan gem.... all food is organic and super tasty. We were greeted with warm smiles and felt like we were being welcomed into a home. It is cosy inside with seating at the bar. There are a few set menus to try various things and English translations. I recommend the ramen menu with gyoza! Yum!!! They also have vegan ice cream made of tofu and coconut. Highly recommend for a cosy vegan meal, lovely experience.
Best overall meal of our stay in Japan yet. Everything made by one woman, who was amazing. So refreshing to have traditional Japanese food without having to worry about pork or fish as well 😅. We ordered pretty much one of everything and a bottle of incredibly good sake and it came to way less than we were expecting.
