The wait can be long, but it’s absolutely worth it. Every ingredient is incredibly fresh, and the flavors really shine. The sea urchin was unbelievable—easily a highlight—and the sashimi was consistently delicious and top quality. Chef Toyo’s famous bare-hands specialty is less about being a refined delicacy and more about the experience itself: it’s a full show and part of what makes this place so memorable. Great food combined with great entertainment makes the overall experience fantastic. One small heads-up: it’s cash only, so unfortunately we couldn’t order as much as we wanted. Still, an amazing spot that delivers both on food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The food was good! you eat standing and it’s like a self service. We ordered the crab claws and they were amazing, the grilled tuna cheek meat was good I get why they are famous for that. Overall it was good but the day we went it was freezing and raining so it was a bit disappointing that we still had to eat in the freezing rain and standing.

I arrived around 1:30pm, on a weekday, there’s a line with about 30 people in front of me & the place seemed packed, I hesitated if I should stay. I stayed & it’s an experience that’s worth the wait. My wait was about 40mins. Their lining arrangement is quite organized, staffs will call people in & direct you to your spot. It’s a standing diner. I was lucky my spot was close to the chef & watched him in action (his famed flame-throwing cooking technique!) The food is fresh & delicious, reasonably priced. Staffs are polite & friendly. Note: I noticed the line was significantly shorter when I was leaving around 2:45pm.

Great street food sushi experience! I stopped by in the afternoon and had a really fun time. Everything was super fresh and very tasty — you can really feel the quality in every bite. The atmosphere is casual and enjoyable, perfect for a quick but satisfying stop. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the freshness and quality you get. Definitely worth trying if you’re around!

I went to a standing bar, a hidden spot in Kyobashi. There were long lines of inbound customers. It's a unique location with a cemetery next door, making it a great place to have fun drinking in the daytime. It was amazing to see the chef handle the fish with his bare hands while grilling it over a burner. Drinks are self-serve, and hot tea is also available. There is a roof, but be prepared to get wet on rainy days. It gets cold from early autumn onwards, so please be careful. There are portable toilets next door. They are Japanese-style.
