Amazing stay! The hotel is beautiful and is situated in a very quite pocket of New York, service was great and positive, breakfast and food overall was very good an exquisite. Rooms had no problem whatsoever, I especially loved the assortment of snacks. Everything was great! Thanks, Greenwich!
Looks expensive, is expensive, but it’s worth it. Beds: best sleep I’ve gotten in a hotel. Slept straight through the morning. Bathroom: I recommend upgrading to the tub. They also have a great shower head. Service: Call them. They’ll listen and you’ll have someone in your very quickly. Room service: Fast and terrific. Crispiest thick bacon I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. Spa: best massage of my life. My favorite hotel pool of all time. Maybe my favorite steam room of all time. Worth booking for the spa alone. Very unique experience all around.. Note: if you book through Amex travel, this hotel cannot see the special instructions so email them ahead of time. Additional note: There is construction through Feb 20 so be aware of that. I always check recent reviews for things like this, but in this case, it began the day I arrived and I could hear it from the first floor all the way on the third. When I called to let the front desk know, they acted fast and were very generous and hospitable to make up for the inconvenience. This is a great hotel. I hope to return for years to come, and will certainly frequent the spa.
From the moment of arrival, the welcome was warm, attentive and genuinely personal. The service throughout the stay felt effortless and accommodating, without ever being intrusive. What makes this place stand out is its atmosphere. It feels more like a private hideaway than a city hotel. Calm, intimate and slightly tucked away from the pace of New York. The darker, understated interiors create a very soothing environment, ideal to truly switch off. The Japanese spa is a highlight. Beautifully done, quiet and perfect for unwinding. The rooms may be slightly dated in parts, but in a way that adds charm rather than detracts. A gentle refresh would elevate the experience further, but it never felt like an issue. The bathroom, however, is exceptional. Easily one of the best I have experienced. Strong water pressure, a beautiful Japanese soaking tub, generous amenities and a real sense of space and quality. What ties everything together are the many small, thoughtful touches throughout the stay. Details that feel considered and personal rather than standardised. A rare kind of hotel in New York. Calm, discreet and full of character. Would absolutely return.
The Greenwich Hotel is truly one of the most unique and luxurious stays in New York. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, understated elegance that feels more like a private residence than a hotel. The design is incredible — every detail feels thoughtfully curated, blending rustic charm with high-end sophistication. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well-appointed, with a cozy yet refined feel that makes it hard to leave. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in everything, from the furnishings to the overall atmosphere. Service was top tier — professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling forced. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is seamless. One of the highlights is the spa and pool area, which feels like a hidden sanctuary in the middle of the city. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and adds a whole other level to the experience. If you’re looking for a luxury stay that feels personal, quiet, and completely different from the typical NYC hotel, The Greenwich Hotel is absolutely worth it. A true escape in the heart of the city.
Literally the most comfortable, stylish, and thankfully not overrun with influencers place I’ve ever stayed. The service was impeccable. The onsen massage was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had — deeply relaxing and restorative. Frankie, William, Romy, and the two engineers who fixed the TV in my room were absolutely lovely. Someone even went to the store to get a bottle of (delicious!) NA champagne for us to celebrate with (we don’t drink). I will never ever forget the shower in my room — the rain shower/wall head combined on full blast is otherworldly. I understand what they mean when they call this a “wellness hotel” — it takes years of stress off. I did not leave the hotel; I came to enjoy the spa, see a concert, and go home. The decision to “lock-in” at the Greenwich Hotel was the best decision I’ve made in a while. Thank you GH!!
