From the minute we arrived at the hotel we felt transported to a relaxing spa. The hotel has a beautiful scent filling the corridors, the flower arrangements in the lobby are stunning, along with the breathtaking Chihuly glass sculptures and entry light fixture. We were wonderfully greeted at the front desk by Lauren. She checked us in efficiently and was very pleasant to work with. Our room was a king room facing the Hudson River. It was quiet, well appointed, great lighting, comfortable pillows and bedding, we liked the soaps and lotion, the towels, robes and slippers were all very good quality. We had breakfast in bed one day and dined at the onsite restaurant one morning. The food and service were great at both. We travel a lot and stay at high end properties throughout the world. Hotels in New York can be hit or miss. This is definitely a huge hit. We will be in NYC for work again this weekend and I immediately rebooked to come back to the MO. Thank you for making our stay delightful! We will be frequent guests going forward.

Our recent stay was a perfect example of what true luxury hospitality looks like. When we arrived on Saturday, we experienced a situation that, while unfortunate, appeared to be an internal staffing issue. It initially impacted my wife and me, and naturally, it wasn’t the first impression we expected. However — what truly defines a world-class hotel is not whether challenges arise, but how leadership responds. By Sunday, the Directors, Management Team, Executive Office, and Guest Relations team personally stepped in. The sincerity of the apologies, the professionalism, and the appreciation they expressed for our feedback were remarkable. We genuinely felt heard. From that point forward through our departure on Thursday, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The attention to detail, the thoughtful gestures, the personalized care, and the genuine warmth completely transformed our stay. We were truly taken care of. The team went above and beyond to ensure that our remaining days were special — and they absolutely succeeded. This is what 5-star hospitality is about: accountability, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. We leave extremely grateful and impressed. We will absolutely return and look forward to staying here again. Thank you to the entire team for turning a situation into an unforgettable experience.

The hospitality and warmth as soon as you walk in. The decor is very pleasing to the eyes. Everyone is soft spoken and the manerism of each and everyone makes you feel zen! Miles at the guest services went far beyond what any guest would expect. He was not there during our stay but prior to our arrival he made sure everything I requested and needed assistance with was taken care of. We were sad to have missed him this visit. Everyone is so warm and welcoming but John at the restaurant was just as exceptional as the first time we met him. He has a way about making you feel like you’re in your own dining room being catered to. We can not wait to be back. We’ve stayed at other luxury hotels, service and the location of MO can not be compared.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental New York. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a fantastic location and truly breathtaking views from the room — waking up to that skyline was unforgettable. The staff deserve special mention: incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Everyone made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We stayed with two children, and the hotel was perfect for a family stay — comfortable, warm, and thoughtfully attentive to our needs. The kids loved it just as much as we did. Breakfasts were delicious, fresh, and beautifully served. Overall, a flawless experience and a hotel we would happily return to. Highly recommended!

I don’t usually write reviews, but when you experience service and hospitality at such an elevated level, it deserves to be recognized. My wife and I had the opportunity to enjoy a two-night stay, and from the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We were celebrating our anniversary, and when we returned to our room, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of sparkling rosé (0% alcohol). What made this gesture even more meaningful was how thoughtful the team was in remembering that my wife is pregnant — a detail I had only mentioned in passing. That level of care truly stood out. Lindsey Cheng, in particular, played a huge role in making our stay feel special and memorable. Her attentiveness and genuine warmth elevated our entire experience. Because of her, my wife and I are already planning our next visit, and moving forward, this will be the only hotel brand we choose to stay with. The food was equally impressive — the steak and fries were among the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. It’s clear that this hotel truly believes in and invests in the art of hospitality. If you’re considering a stay here, do it with confidence. You will not regret it. 100%.
