We went to Turkey and the Wolf twice within 3 days — and honestly, that says everything. We ordered the collard greens sandwich and the vegan chick’n sandwich, and both were incredible. I’m someone who genuinely loves bread and has tried sandwiches all over the world, and I can confidently say this place serves some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had - probably the best!!!! There’s something about the way they put flavors together — comforting, creative, indulgent, and somehow nostalgic at the same time, from the first bite itself it just melts in your mouth. The collard greens sandwich completely surprised me. Who knew something so simple sounding could taste that good? And the vegan chick’n sandwich didn’t feel like a compromise at all — just ridiculously flavorful and satisfying. Beyond the food, the whole vibe of the place is just cool. It feels quirky, fun, and unapologetically itself. The staff was super friendly, and the energy made us want to hang out longer. There are a lot of places that get overhyped, especially after seeing videos online, but this wasn’t one of them. We kept thinking about the sandwiches and had to go back before leaving New Orleans. Safe to say, regular sandwiches may never hit the same again.

Believe the hype!!!! I am a foodie and am CRITICAL of my eats. We got the fried bologna sandwich and the collard greens melt. The fried bologna was fine, just tasted like a sandwich IMO. But the collard greens melt.. woah. Best thing we ate on our foodie trip!!! The flavors were delicious and it was a fun experience! The line was long but moved quickly and the food came out fast. I’d probably skip the bologna as it tasted like any other sandwich- but you cannot miss the collard greens melt!!!

Line is long, but moves fast. Food was ready so so fast! I had the collard green sandwich and the fried bologna sandwich. I’ve never had collard greens and don’t like coleslaw BUT I very much loved that sandwich which tells you how good it really is. I’m not sure I’d go so far out of my way again to get it. But definitely worth a try!

We had a business lunch here for four people. My companions split the wedge salad, it looked beautiful and they said it was delicious. They also split the collard green melt and loved it. I had the “mama tried burger” and was pleasantly surprised. Too thin patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and tomatoes, on a fairy fresh delicious sesame seed bun. Yes, it was a bit messy, and I cut it in half. But boy was it delicious. We also split french fries that were nice and crispy. Crinkle cut fries. Overall highly recommended. Note that we waited in line to order for about 20 minutes at prime lunchtime.

I read the reviews and heard about Turkey and Wolf for quite a while. And this week was finally my chance to see if it was worth the hype. I read over and over about the Collard Green Melt and I could not understand how greens could go on a sandwich. Well let me tell you, it works and it was well done. First the bread was toasted to perfection and thick enough to handle a potential moist disaster. The cheese and sauces melded together wonderfully. There wasn’t much of a line when I went, but I’ve seen the lines wrap around the building. It was also nice enough to eat on the patio. The inside is a bit tight. The service was nice and I recommend trying it out.
