Had a great stay in the Quisby from May 23 to 28, 2026. The front desk staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was modest, reasonable and served my purpose of business trip. It is also conveniently located away from the hustle of the downtown but still very near to good restaurants, and world war II museum. Overall, had an excellent experience.

Great location if you’re into parades. The lot isn’t too expensive if you use spothero. Clean rooms. Unbeatable price! Especially for the location. Lots of food options within walking distance. The bartenders were so nice and fun. My only complaint is that I was in the bathroom in the lobby and someone with a key, I’m assuming staff, repeatedly knocked on the door despite me saying I was in there. They proceeded to unlock the door, come in, saw I was in there, closed the door, and then continued knocking and yelling? They just kept screaming, “room service,” and laughing to each other. It was around 8pm, during a parade. The staff was definitely having a good time (dancing drinking etc) which is cool but I wish it didn’t result in weird bathroom harassment? I’m still not sure what happened because I wasn’t in there very long. A bunch of people went in before me and took longer. Maybe they thought I was someone from the street? Instead of a guest? Genuinely no clue. I had my wristband on. I had waited in line. There wasn’t anyone behind me. There’s even a second lobby bathroom that was open when I went in and got out so it’s not like I was using the only available one. Honestly baffled. Other than that it was a great stay and I’d recommend the hotel. Great exposure therapy for anxiety lol. Would have given it 5/5 stars if not for that. Photo included shows right outside the hotel, literally right on the parade route! Also lots of museums within a block or two of the hotel.

The Quisby is hands down the coolest place to stay in NOLA. It has a high-energy, modern vibe that feels way more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. The bar downstairs is fantastic—great cocktails and a perfect spot to meet people before heading out. It’s stylish, social, and perfectly located right on the St. Charles streetcar line. If you want a stay with actual personality, this is it!

So this hotel is probably thr closest hotel tests on the West side of St. Charles. For Marti Gras viewing thst last weekend I thought this location of the parade route was good for viewing the parade, just not listening because the bands had tired out. Fair, but disappointing. 20 some bands passed in Muses and not 1 played at this stretch. It's not as crowded, plenty of space for the most part, and could go to room for relief. The hotel itself, folks were nice. While needing to screen people entering during the parades they were always inviting to us when we returned. From storing our luggage on the first day to the time we checked out, always nice, albeit a little exhausted. I have to think it's just how MG is for folks. Continental breakfast items were sparse, but again, I chalk that up to delivery disruption from Marti Gras. The hotel worked out well for us. Shower's volume and pressure was the best ever...and bed was comfortable.

My friend stayed at the quisby a few days after Mardi Gras. Its no Marriott for sure. No microwave, small room, attendant pretends to know nothing about parking. No one wants car to be towed. Its crazy. Doesn't feel safe. All night my friend said that they heard snoring from another room. It's creepy. The shower had soap scum and dirt around the shower door. The reviews doesn't support the actual reality. A good review has to be earned. Few towels. The price IS NOT WORTH IT!!!! It is a very noisy place!!!
