We decided on this bar as the last drink for our visit. The server suggested the fleur de lis, a great switch up since I was only sipping on espresso martinis this week. We opted to not sit at bar since I have motion sickness but the window spot we chose near jazz band was perfect.
Such a great experience at the Carousel Bar & Lounge! This is the perfect hangout spot for professionals or anyone looking to unwind in a classy, laid-back setting. The ambience was chill and inviting, with a live band that set the perfect tone for the night. The atmosphere overall was lively but still comfortable you could relax, enjoy good conversation, and soak in the energy of New Orleans. Of course, the highlight is the carousel bar itself it slowly spins as you sip your drink, which was such a fun and unique experience! The vibe here is truly unmatched. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is an absolute must when in New Orleans.
The Carousel Bar was such a fun experience during our trip to New Orleans. Sitting at the rotating carousel bar while enjoying a drink is definitely something unique you don’t get just anywhere. There are only about 12 seats at the actual carousel, so if you’re hoping to sit there you may have to stand nearby and wait for someone to get up. There are other places to sit in the bar, but the real experience is sitting at the carousel while it slowly rotates. I was lucky enough that a very kind lady offered her seat to me and my son, which made the experience even more special. I ordered the French 007 and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth stopping in for a drink if you’re in New Orleans. ⭐ Highly recommend for the atmosphere and the experience.
Iconic bar! Really worth it go for the main attraction, getting on the carousel. It takes about 15 minutes to do a full rotation, but it's first come first serve and can be quite busy/hard to get on it depending on the time/day. The vieux carré is there signature cocktail and would recommend.
Such a dope place. It’s the set of one of my favorite movies. Drinks are immaculate - a much better place for drinks than Bourban St. plus it has a spinning bar!
