Absolutely fantastic, staff were great. The streak I had was good. My wife had the salad and fries. The fries were delicious! Only thing is everything is à la carte. Thought the $60 steak should have come with at least a side or a salad but didn’t. Other than that it was good
I wish I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars! The whole vibe of the place is warm and inviting. There was a large family style farm table set up in one corner with 12 people around it who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves, but it still wasn’t loud and disturbing even though we were only a couple of tables away. A lot of thoughtful choices were made in the design of this restaurant, from the lighting to the floor layout, to the comfortable seating, that create a truly wonderful atmosphere. We started with drinks-my husband had the Wagyu washed old fashion (which he thoroughly enjoyed) and I had a glass of Chardonnay, which was perfectly chilled. For food, we ordered the chef’s tasting menu, and WOW…what a delight! The first course was a variety of appetizers including the chorizo, bruschetta, and meat empanada. My favorite was the chorizo-it is fresh and delicious, just absolutely amazing! That is not to say the others were not good as well, but that chorizo was phenomenal. Next up was a heart of palm salad and noqi that brought tears to my eyes, it was so good! I already want it again the next time I need comfort food. After that, came the most flavorful, perfectly prepared hanger steak I’ve ever eaten. The steak options are plentiful on the menu, and my husband’s flank steak was also great (though not as delicious as my hanger steak imo). The steaks were served with sides of truffle fries and garlic green beans-both of which were very good, though the beans were a little too spicy for my taste. Finally, we were served a flourless chocolate cake that was so much better than any I’ve had before! The whole time, my water glass was never empty, the timing of each course was perfect, the table was cleared and reset between courses, and the servers were friendly and attentive without being a nuisance. We enjoyed ourselves so much, and definitely plan to go back the next time we’re in town!
Service was friendly and the food was amazing. We did the Chef’s Tasting menu and every item was delicious. I got to try things I wouldn’t have ordered normally, and the price is a great deal too! And getting to pick my steak knife was a perfect touch!
Had dinner at a place called La BOCA and ordered the chefs tasting menu for two tonight and it was fantastic. We had heart of palm and avocado salad, empanadas, Chorizo, and bruschetta. We also had the best gnocchi that we have ever had in our lives, made with pancetta, peas and cream. I had a steak called Spinalis and is cut from the top curve of the ribeye primal, and it was the best steak I've ever eaten. My wife had a filet and it was delicious. We ended with a flourless chocolate cake and it was wonderful.
