We were able to swing in here Mardis gras weekend. We were circling in an Uber and decided to get dinner and wait it out....were were so lucky! We were able to be seated at the bar right away and were delighted to find out what an excellent restaurant we have lucked upon. The bar was excellent. Friendly services and amazing cocktails. So creative and delicious! Great flavors. We were able to share a few dishes. We had the crab claws, and the smoked fish balls. We split the fried pork chop with gnocchi. Everything was so delicious. Perfect comfort food. Great winter dishes!! Amazing way to kick off a holiday weekend!

Jewel of the South is one of those places that feels elevated without trying too hard. The space is intimate, the service is polished, and everything comes out with intention. We ordered a mix across the menu and it delivered. The crudo was clean and fresh, the crab tartlets were rich and easily one of the best things on the table, and the crawfish bread had that perfect balance of comfort and flavor without feeling heavy. The duck breast was cooked exactly right and the redfish was solid, but the sweetbreads were the surprise standout if you’re willing to try something different. Cocktails are where they really shine. The Night Tripper and Harlot were both excellent, and the Sazerac felt like a proper New Orleans experience done right, not just thrown on the menu for tourists. Service was smooth and attentive without being overbearing, and the pacing of the meal felt well thought out. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but you’re paying for execution and experience, not just food. One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans, and easily worth it for a nice night out. Just make sure to make reservations.

Wow, just wow! This place was outstanding in every aspect. When you come here you are truly getting high quality. We came in on Saturday night and it busy but we were able to sit at the bar (my preference). The bartender are true artists here and every drink is unique and creative. After having a couple of cocktails we decided to get some food a little snacks. Our favorite meal was the red fish and this was one of best dishes I have ever had. The skin was so crispy and the sauce had oysters in it was a truly balanced meal. The size of the dishes are on the smaller side but you are great quality. It was perfect for us as we're not starving and enjoyed the size. We wanted to try the other food option but we weren't not to able to eat anymore. The staff is able to describe the menu with such great details you get hungry from their description. Overall 10\10 and I can see why they have been recognized as one of the best bars in north america, and in the world.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant and bar. I highly recommend a reservation as it's pretty popular. The blue crab raviolo and pork rilletes were my favorite dishes here. Though you could not go wrong with any of their dishes. Their cocktails are also fantastic. I tried a few of their classics such the brandy crusta and jewel sazerac. A must if you want to try a fun twist on local drinks!

10/10 experience at Jewell of the South. We came here for a dinner before a concert at the Saenger Theatre, which is close by. It was our best dinner in New Orleans. Awesome cocktails and service. The Crawfish bread was incredible along with everything else that we ordered.
