Where Southern Hospitality Meets World-Class Luxury I've stayed at some of the finest hotels across the country, but the Four Seasons New Orleans sets a standard that's genuinely hard to match. From the moment you walk through those doors, the service doesn't just meet expectations it anticipates them. Every single staff member we encountered greeted us by name after check-in. Not once, not twice consistently, throughout our entire stay. That level of attention to detail is rare and it doesn't go unnoticed. The concierge team went above and beyond helping us secure last-minute dinner reservations at some of the city's most sought-after spots, and they did it with a smile and zero hesitation. Housekeeping was impeccable the room was always refreshed at the perfect time, never intrusive, always thoughtful. When we mentioned a minor preference at breakfast, the staff remembered it the following morning without being asked. That's not just good hospitality, that's intentional excellence. The location overlooking the Mississippi River is stunning, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the food and beverage experience is top tier. But what makes this property truly unforgettable is its people. They make you feel less like a guest and more like someone who belongs there. If you're visiting New Orleans and want to be treated like royalty while soaking in everything this incredible city has to offer look no further. The Four Seasons NOLA is the gold standard.

This is a beautiful Four Seasons property with a convenient location. We stayed in two rooms (not adjoining) on a family vacation. The rooms were modern, gorgeous, and comfortable (except that the AC only went as low as 66, which felt quite warm to us cool-weather Colorado folk). The staff were friendly and helpful, though I do think they must’ve been somewhat overwhelmed on the weekend we stayed (apparently Tulane’s graduation) because service requests were slow or sometimes completely ignored. Nothing major—ice took 2.5 hours and multiple calls to receive, for example. There were a few relatively minor housekeeping issues such as stained towels/robes. On the plus side, the laundry services were exceptional and they took great care of our special items that needed laundered. Room service was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed a thoughtful welcome treat that delighted all of us. The fitness center is incredible, as is the hotel chandelier bar. We enjoyed delicious beignets and a drink and enjoyed chatting with the friendly bartenders. The spa was somewhat minimal and the men’s steam shower was out of service so it was essentially just a locker room. I had a truly unique and relaxing facial from Corrine—she’s wonderful! Overall it was a very pleasant visit and I’d recommend this property to anyone visiting. My only hesitation would be to try to schedule a visit on a less busy weekend because it was clear they were somewhat overwhelmed by a very busy and full hotel.

I stayed here for a one-night birthday trip in late May, booking through a travel advisor (preferred partner) which granted us excellent perks. This is easily the best high-end hotel in New Orleans. The hard product, rooms, and location are top-tier, and the pool deck is arguably the best in the entire state of Louisiana. Pre-Arrival & Location The Four Seasons app is fantastic; the chat feature is incredibly responsive. The concierge was warm and even secured us a fully booked table at Brennan's. We did have a minor hiccup where the concierge booked us at Miss River for a night the restaurant was actually closed for a private event, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. The location at the foot of Canal Street in the CBD feels much safer and quieter than other local 5-star properties like the Ritz or the Roosevelt. You are right across from Caesars Casino, next to the Aquarium, and a 15-minute walk from Jackson Square. There is also a streetcar stop right outside for easy transit to the National WWII Museum. Amenities & Lobby The Chandelier Bar in the lobby is stunning—grand yet intimate. The service there is what inspired us to book a stay here. Thanks to our advisor, we secured a 10:30 AM early check-in after arriving by train. The front desk agent was a standout—incredibly friendly with a great sense of humor. The 5th-floor pool is the absolute highlight of the property. It’s a massive, 75-foot heated pool with a hot tub, great river views, comfortable loungers, and excellent poolside service with complimentary sunscreen and floats. The 24-hour gym is also top-of-the-line, overlooks the river, and is well-stocked with chilled towels and Gatorade. The Room (Room 1437) We booked a Deluxe City View Double with the "Rhythm of the City" promo ($430 total) and were upgraded to a Premier City View Double on the 14th floor. The room is spacious with a sleek, modern design and beautiful New Orleans-inspired plaster headboards. The bedside touch controls for the lighting and drapes are very convenient. The beverage center features a Nespresso and a premium kettle. The bathroom was the highlight of the room: a freestanding soaking tub by the window, a separate walk-in shower, a double vanity, and incredibly good-smelling L'Occitane toiletries. Turndown service at 9:00 PM was a bit lackluster (just tidied up and replaced pods/glassware without closing drapes or leaving chocolates), but it wasn't a true negative. Dining We used our $100 advisor credit for a room service lunch (two burgers, two club sandwiches, fries, and salads for ~$130 total). It arrived exactly on the dot with a beautiful white linen setup. Our advisor benefit also covered a $96 breakfast credit at Chemin à la Mer. The river-view terrace is gorgeous and the food (Southern breakfast, casserole, parfait) came out fresh and fast, though lunch felt like a slightly better overall value. Final Thoughts While the service has a few minor areas for improvement, the stunning physical property and incredible amenities blow the local competition away. We will absolutely be back.

My wife and I stayed for five days last week at the Four Seasons New Orleans, and I will never run out of good things to say about our time there: The staff was universally kind, responsive, professional, and accommodating. The property is gorgeous, clean, and extremely well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, pristine, tranquil, and very beautiful (with the exception noted below). The restaurants and bar are terrific, with great food (even by New Orleans standards), attentive service, and delicious cocktails. Special mentions of the great kindness shown us by the doormen during our stay, and the amazing expertise of the concierge staff (especially Randy, who recommended the excellent Cochon Butcher). Our early arrival was accommodated without hesitation, and we were upgraded to an Executive suite via the Amex Fine Hotels program. The suite was beautiful! Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom , lovely sitting area, and great views of the city and even a bit of the river. Very quiet except for the occasional train and boat whistles, for which the hotel cannot be blamed. Our one complaint was relating to an inexplicable room design decision: There is a large window in the wall between the bedroom and bathroom area, which is controlled only by a louvered wooden shutter. This opening permits sound, moist air, and odors from the toilet and shower to travel undiminished into the bedroom, significantly compromising the comfort and privacy of each room. I have seen this trend of an open-plan non-private bathroom emerge at other properties and will always consider such a design both deplorable and pernicious. I am extremely disappointed to see it adopted by Four Seasons.

Beautiful building! My room was absolutely stunning, immaculate, well cared for during my stay, and decorated so well! I had a great time at the pool, loved walking the riverfront, and really enjoyed this hotel’s proximity to top notch shopping and dining in the city. I spent more time on Magazine Street than I did in the French Quarter, and liked that I was close to both options. Staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Great room service options, and I was delighted by the L’Occitane products they stock.
