I came across this restaurant on my way to my accommodation. My husband and I really enjoyed the food and the vibe. Our server was kind, the male staff member who took care of the water was nice, and the manager was very gentle. To be honest, I wasn’t familiar with their dishes, so I was a bit on the fence. However, our server suggested the “Just Feed Me” option. The name sounded fun, so we decided to order it—and it was AMAZING. We were so full and had a wonderful dinner. I really appreciate the service from the staff. If I visit New Orleans again, I will definitely come back!

I chose to celebrate my birthday here, and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. As someone who is from the same country as the owner, I can honestly say this experience exceeded every expectation and made my special day even more memorable. From the moment the dishes arrived, the presentation was beautifully plated, thoughtful, and crafted with pride and attention to detail. The food was nothing short of amazing. Every bite showcased authentic flavors while still feeling elevated and refined. The standout dishes for me were the snapper and the pepper pot with pickled mango. The snapper was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly fresh, while the pepper pot with cabbage was rich, comforting, and packed with the depth and authenticity. The pickled mango added the perfect bright, vibrant touch. Beyond the food, the service and atmosphere were exceptional. It's always special to find a chef-owner who honors the flavors of our shared heritage while creating such an outstanding culinary experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an unforgettable dining experience. A true five-star experience from start to finish.

Chef Nina Compton is a genius! This was the best dinner we had in New Orleans and that is saying a lot. Flavors were bright and balanced. The biscuits were on another level! Shrimp starter was also a standout for me and my family loved the crisp pig's ears and jalapeno hush puppies . Entrees of fried chicken, goat and the fish special were all beautiful and incredibly delicious. The carrot slaw with the chicken was special, so fresh and dressed beautifully, complimenting the whole dish. Cocktails were also special. Our server Turner was awesome. This restaurant is a cut above and a special experience worth every penny. We will remember this experience! Thank you Chef Compton!

Sadly mediocre. Extremely noisy. Charming ambiance other than the music. Menu is short and intentional, which is nice. All items are solidly executed comfort Caribbean, but unfortunately no standouts, no shining stars, no surprises. Hush puppies and biscuits were a tasty starter and the smoky bacon butter was quite nice. All solid, but nothing blows your hair back. Pork belly with plantain did have a nice surprise of crispy fried black eyed peas, and blackened griddled baby onions. Curried goat with sweet potato gnocchi was inoffensive and just fine, but not special in any way. Cocktail program has a lot of elements, perhaps too many to perceive, could use focus like the food menu. Glass of nebbiolo was fittingly mediocre as well. Mango creme brulee well executed, but lacking any punch or identity, like everything about this place. Horrifically awful tasting espresso - a disgusting abomination. Team service a bit scattered, at times overwhelming with three people at the table, and other times ignored. For high priced small portion solid comfort food, this place is spot on. For inspiration, freshness, or creativity, head elsewhere.

We throughly enjoyed our tasting menu experience here. It’s so much food! It’s a great way to try many things off the menu. The service is also very attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails were delightful. We can to try after falling in love with Nina’s old restaurant BABS. While we both agreed Babs was still our favorite, I still highly recommend enjoying an elevated dining experience here
