A great place with good steaks at reasonable prices, the service from Lucy was very good and spot on. She is a good sport and plays along with the conversation. The steaks were good and the portions are good. Do visit if you are in Village market.
Very nice and friendly service, good atmosphere and nice venue. Regarding the food, I recommend removing the grilled octopus from the menu, because served dish has nothing to do with what a "grilled octopus" supposed to be. The served fillet steak is also not a fillet cut and not done right to have a grilled flavour. The burger is good, but the patty doesn't taste grilled. Overall the food quality doesn't respond the pricing and the name of the restaurant. Keep improving in the kitchen to achieve the expected quality standards.
Let me just say, their steaks are the truth! I’ve visited twice now, and all I can say is that i have thoroughly enjoyed the steaks they’ve prepared. The wingrib steak (steak+bone marrow) is juicy and absolutely delicious! I Initially accompanied it with ugali and some ‘kachumbari’ during my first visit and during my second visit, i had their hand-cut fries which were perfectly salted and crispy. The steak is aged and for food connoisseurs, you must know that umami is everything. Let me tell you, with that first bite, you’re getting beefy juiciness, great seasoning and a deep appreciation for the immense flavors. Honestly, if i could describe it more, i would but, you need to try it out to believe. Ps: pairing it with some red wine will be lethal for your wallet and absolutely worth it! The restaurant has good seating for solo diners, couples or groups, so rest assured, you’ll be fine plus the service staff are super helpful. Point to note, it is on the higher end in terms of pricing; my meal of aged wingrib (steak + bone marrow pairing), a glass of red wine, handcut fries and still water came to kes 6,850, so it may not be the most affordable place out there. But in all honesty, i believe i got some good value for what i was getting. The steak portion is quite generous so don't fret a lot about that. Just make sure your stomach can handle all the food! 9.5/10🔥🔥🔥🔥 And no, this is not a paid ad…im just that satisfied😁
We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Local Grill last night. The ambiance and service are top notch and the food was fantastic. I started with the carpaccio while my Wife had the chicken mishkaki, both were excellent. For the mains I had the grass fed rump steak, which was grilled to perfection and my Wife had the ribs which were delicious. All in all, a most enjoyable evening.
We enjoyed a casual dinner course, serving many varieties of appetizer to share and a main dish to each. The medium cooked stake was beyond my expectation along with a fantastic South African wife🍷
