Much nicer and more informative than expected. A tour guide is mandatory and also helpful. The student who guided us did so as an unpaid volunteer, but was nevertheless motivated and knew the answers to most of our questions. The small souvenir shop with fair prices and the café also invite you to spend some extra time there.

Informative, historical, mind blowing and very familiar. Her story draws you in as though you might have crossed paths in another life. The intricate pieces of her desires around the house leave you with a sense of awe and appreciation of her timeline. Great place to visit to understand Karen the enigma and Karen the area

Who hasn’t seen Out of Africa or read the book? If you’re in Niarobi looking for an interesting place to visit, then you just found it. The Karen Blixen Museum house beautifully preserved with many original furnishings. You are given an escorted tour of the house and property with interesting description of history of the property. Watch the movie before you go to better appreciate the history of this once 6000 acre estate and coffee plantation!

I was aware of the movie but had not seen it. So I found the information given interesting. We had a guide that lead us around the property and gave us insight into her life. The guide was very good. She told us about her life during the time of this part of her life. The coffee roaster was interesting. Also her house with replica pictures she had drawn was interesting. I will now go home and watch the movie you were not supposed to take pictures in the house although I did see some doing it

A quiet place for heart and mind. I was stunned to see and live again the whole story written in Out of Africa. It feels like stepping right into the book. I suggest you go with a guide who explains every detail, as their stories really bring the history and the rooms to life. A truly moving experience for anyone who loves the movie or the book!
