Giraffe Manor is 1000% worth the price tag. We really enjoyed all of the opportunities to meet and interact with the resident giraffes. We also really appreciated the staff and service. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. When we arrived in Nairobi, our checked bags didn’t make it. A hotel staff member personally drove to the airport and retrieved our bags so we didn’t need to wait for the airport to deliver them. They also set up a private dinner for us to celebrate our honeymoon/my husbands birthday. This is true 5-star service. The staff will go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. Thanks so much to Agnes, Joseph, Walter and the rest of the Giraffe Manor team for making our stay incredible!
My wife and I spent a relaxing day at the Retreat at the Giraffe Manor. The property is beautiful. The day use room was fantastic. Ava at the front desk was great. The stay included a visit to the Giraffe Centre. We got a couples’ massage at the spa and our masseurs (Susan & her colleague) were amazing. The restaurant staff were excellent too. The property also gave us a car & driver (Julius) for the day. Julius was very helpful and ensured we were comfortable throughout. A bit pricey, but totally worth it!
Incredible time staying here and an amazing experience! Truly once in a lifetime—it was so cool seeing the giraffes and feeding them. They are so so close to you and we ate breakfast near them too. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly and they just want to ensure you have a memorable time. It’s a small place (only like, 12 people can stay at once), so be sure to book out far in advance. Definitely will remember this place for the rest of my life.
I’ve wanted to go to Giraffe Manor for years — and the experience more than lived up to my expectations. It’s an absolutely magical place to stay if you’re a giraffe lover. Having afternoon tea and breakfast with the giraffes is something you’ll never forget. One of my favourite moments was feeding Waridi from our room at 6am; this was a truly surreal experience. The food was delicious, the rooms are luxurious and spacious (we stayed in Lynn), and we enjoyed a lovely swim and coffee at the tranquil Retreat in the afternoon. I also loved the little touches and care that have gone into everything (like the giraffe stencil on the cappuccino and the delicious homemade snacks in the rooms). Our waitress, Faith, was amazing. She knew each of the giraffes really well, took fantastic photos of us during feeding times, and made sure we had everything we needed. In fact, the service from the entire Giraffe Manor team was exceptional from start to finish. From the handwritten note in our room, to the birthday cake and singing I got at the evening meal, and the team dropping off a spare luggage tag for me where I was staying after I ruined mine — they truly went above and beyond. 10/10 experience, would recommend!
This place is pure magic!!! Ethically responsible interactions with giraffes, spunky entertaining pumbas running around, first-class dining, top-tier professional staff, comfortable beds, practically no mosquitoes, all on a dreamlike estate that you can't even believe you are there! ✨ We will never forgot Giraffe Manor, it's the most incredible place we've ever been to! PS: their Kenyan gin is the best. 🥂
