I really appreciate this place, we were very well greeted by the team and Princess ensured we had a nice experience throughout our journey. The meals were exceptional, especially for the price we paid. I highly recommend this place to anyone, and for the hotel members. Sadly I didn’t take pictures of the plates which were aesthetic. The seafood was very fresh, and the meals were really various on the menu. Among that, I would give a special mention to the hotel teams of Al Waha who designed a nice cake for my parent’s 30 year wedding anniversary. It was so sweet f them to make this small gesture. In the restaurant, they offered some Prosecco which was so adorable. We also enjoyed the rose bouquet they added on our table.

This was the worst meal we had in Oman - made even worse by how expensive it was. I ordered the “lemon fish”, described as catch of the day with a lemon, soy and ginger dressing. What arrived was a fried piece of fish covered in sweet chilli sauce, which was nothing like what was described on the menu. I’ve attached a photo - it clearly shows sweet chilli sauce, and my partner, who is a chef, agreed. I also ordered broccoli with almonds. It arrived with no almonds, no dressing, no olive oil - just dry, tasteless broccoli. My Coke Zero had to be chased twice. When I queried the dish, the waiter told me I was wrong, went to the kitchen, came back with another bowl of the same sauce and said the chef had confirmed I was wrong. It felt like gaslighting, rather than any attempt to resolve the issue. My partner ordered the seafood platter. The lobster was overcooked, with the texture of mashed potato - completely unacceptable at this price point. Poor food, defensive service, and zero accountability. Hugely disappointing and absolutely not worth the money. For context - the previous positive reviews may have been better as up until recently this restaurant was managed by Shangri-la, but it’s now managed by Hilton… clearly they took their chefs with them.
