What a night! Highly recommend. We went on a Sunday and there was a fantastic jam session (and only for €5 pp!). Talented musicians and a great audience. Note for foreigners, it’s not German culture to be on your phone taking heaps of photos. I have been to a couple arts/culture events, and I can vouch it’s etiquette. If you want to get seats, book ahead via their website otherwise they do door-service (at least they did the night we went). The chilli con carne was a delight and the wine was fab. I will be back!

Brilliant venue. Great staff. Very well organised table allocation. Came here on a whim and saw a wonderful show with a magical energy between the singer, the players and the audience. Next time I'm in Munich I'll make a point of coming back.

Jazz Unterfahrt in Munich is worth a visit. The musical program consists of a mix of small quartets to big band that span the entire jazz genre. There are also jam nights mixed in. What’s more, doors open an hour before the show allowing time to come in and eat. The menu includes pasta, soup, light bar snacks like nuts and dessert (apple strudel or chocolate cake). While the food menu is rather small (though good) there is a longer drink menu consisting of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Both the food and drinks are priced reasonably. As for the show itself, can reserve / buy tickets online. Members tend to pay half the price of the regular ticket prices. Make a night of it and check out Jazz Unterfahrt, it’s the place for jazz in Munich.
