Truly incredible place. This was my first ever hostel stay on my solo travel last summer and i loved it so much i had to come back and stay as the last stop before returning to Sweden. Absolutely lovely experience!

A truly unique and welcoming hostel experience! The staff at The Tent are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Despite the open and communal setup, everything is impressively clean and well-maintained. Perfect for budget travelers who value warmth, community, and cleanliness. I WOULD 100% RECOMMEND!

I stayed in The Tent for 3 days. I wish there is one good thing I could say about this place. My biggest complaint is insufficient facilities to accommodate the number of occupants that they check in. There was always a long line for everything such as toilet, shower, electrical outlet, etc. The bunk beds are tiny and the mattresses are thin foam. The shared kitchen was locked up and the closest supermarket is 2 km away. No cafes or restaurants are nearby. The staff treated guests like they were tending cattle. The price of a bed in a tent doubled the normal price during Oktoberfest. It was one of my most horrific hostel experiences.

Stayed here with my boyfriend and a friend for three nights during Oktoberfest, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly however I would not advise staying here if there is cold weather in the forecast. The heat turns on around 20:30 so it’s really cold as soon as the sun goes down. It is a tent so there’s not a whole lot of insulation to keep the heat inside. Lights turn off at around 01:00, we brought ear plugs and eye masks so that saved us but if you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you. Also no outlets other than in the cafe area and at reception. Not sure if they clean the sheets on the beds either. Seems like it would be a really fun place to stay in the summer but a little less so as the weather starts getting colder. Also a little overpriced for its distance from the city and what you’re getting. They also don’t have pillows so expect to use one of your blankets as a pillow.

Really great service and a wonderful camping experience. Totally convenient for Munich city. Relaxed and inclusive environment. Good facilities, and a lovely fire.
