By far the best meal in Munich. The food was outstanding, each dish composed with thoughtfulness and precision, and the Wild Hare à la Royale was divinely rich and delicious. The non-alcoholic pairing really added to the experience.
My wife and I have dined at plenty of top-tier restaurants, and Tantris earns its place among them without trying too hard. The service struck the right balance—attentive without hovering—and the atmosphere felt naturally relaxed. The food is technique-driven but not showy; every dish highlighted great ingredients without overcomplicating them. It’s a confident kitchen doing excellent work. Easily one of Munich’s standouts, and worth a return.
Of course, the food was simply outstanding. The service of the dining room team, Lina and Maximilian in particular, was equally exceptional. Pleasant and discreet. But what stroke me is the 1970’s elegant dang and ambience, the acoustic is fantastic, you can hear the music, you can hear the person in front of you next to you, but not a single intrusive noise from other tables or other element disturbing you. Very well design. Highly, highly recommended!!
Very friendly service, great wine recommendations and a 2-star worthy 8-course dinner. Even one of the chefs came out and brought us our dish so we had the opportunity to chat about other topics than cooking. Would definitely come back to this „institution“ and only the Atelier under Jan was able to be slightly more impressive.
Great Team working flawlessly together. Amazing food with so much detail and bursting flavours. Wonderful Sommelier with a sense of humour and delicious wines.
