An eye-catching building clad in thousands of multi-colored ceramic rods, housing a premier collection of modern art, including extensive works by Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol.

Good to know
Located directly adjacent to the Pinakothek museums.

I guess I'm not sophisticated enough for contemporary art. At some point I dissociated and started thinking about Valerie Solanas' (👑) beef with Andy Warhol.

Very interesting especially if you book a guided tour with explanation. I also love the Warhol collection 👍

It’s a small gallery, but it’s super well-curated, and you’ll find some really great pieces there, like Warhol!

I am actually not really fond of modern art, but this was really good. Of course, something is silly, but there was a lot of amazing things. So if you are like me, go there’s it’s really worth it. A lot of Warhol. It is beautifully curated. You don’t need that much time, I think like 1 hour or 1 and a half is enough :) Buy the combine ticket and visit also Alte Pinakothek and Sammlung Schack.

Phenomenal museum with fantastic collection. The highlight are clearly the two Cy Twombly rooms, Untitled (Roses) and the Lepanto series. The permanent collection also contains great artworks by Andy Warhol. Nice museum building by Sauerbruch Hutton. Great museum bookstore.
