A must-visit sanctuary for art enthusiasts in the heart of South Mumbai. The curation is world-class, spanning several floors with a fantastic mix of contemporary and modern Indian art. The circular architecture of the building adds a unique charm to the viewing experience. Well-maintained and incredibly inspiring. We witnessed the Dream Vision Exhibition of the Russian Artist, Nikas Safronov. A vast crowd was there.

The NGMA Mumbai, located in the historic Sir Cowasji Jehangir Public Hall near Colaba, continues to be a cornerstone of the city’s cultural landscape. Its unique circular architecture, featuring five interconnected exhibition floors, offers a peaceful sanctuary from the South Mumbai bustle. Featured Exhibition: Nikas Safronov’s "Dream Vision" The highlight of early January 2026 is the solo exhibition "Dream Vision" by renowned Russian artist Nikas Safronov. On display until January 15, 2026, this show is an extraordinary blend of classical surrealism and futuristic tech. Immersive Tech: The exhibition features over 45 paintings that literally come to life. By scanning QR codes on the canvases, visitors can watch animations via AR, while "neuro-mirrors" and immersive soundscapes create the sensation of stepping inside the artist's subconscious. Cultural Dialogue: Safronov’s works are deeply inspired by Indian spirituality and mythology, featuring vibrant depictions of Varanasi and Hindu deities. Special Note: For this limited period, entry to the "Dream Vision" show is FREE, though online registration or a quick on-site QR scan is required for entry. Visiting Tip: The gallery is closed on Mondays. If you plan to see the Nikas Safronov show, aim to visit before it concludes on January 15.

Amongst the elegant, well maintained & beautifully kept art galleries in the city. A gentle flow to the exhibit, appropriate lighting and absence of unnecessary sound makes it an enjoyable experience. It's a great experience to be cherished, in relaxed manner, the paintings have depth and after being memorized in it, the message of the paintings does become clear. A must visit place for Art patriots and those wanting to take a trip down the memory lane. Rs 20 entry ticket as of January 2026.
