Great Vibe and Music, But Let Down by Service Management and Gatekeeping If you are looking for a high-energy nightlife spot in South Mumbai with an electric atmosphere, Matahaari in Worli (Atria Mall) definitely delivers on the core clubbing front. It’s a solid place to hangout if your primary goal is to catch a great vibe, dance, and enjoy a premium-looking space. The Good Stuff: The physical setup of the club is top-notch. It features an excellent, spacious dance floor and very well-maintained facilities altogether. The audio-visual production is impressive—the music is loud, the lighting is energetic, and the DJ plays a fantastic set that keeps the energy up. The drinks are well-made and the general vibe inside the club on a packed night is exactly what you want from a premium Worli venue. The food menu is decent; it’s standard club fare and finger food that gets the job done, though there is nothing uniquely memorable or groundbreaking about it. The Not-So-Good Stuff: Where Matahaari heavily struggles is its hospitality execution and management attitude. We booked out the entire club for a private event, expecting seamless service for a private gathering. Unfortunately, the supporting floor staff provided by the venue was completely inadequate for the crowd size, leading to noticeable delays and sub-par service coordination throughout our event. Furthermore, the entry management team is unnecessarily difficult. They tend to deliberately create friction and generate pointless issues around standard club rules like dress codes and stag entries. It largely comes across as standard "show rules" just to artificially gatekeep and make themselves look more exclusive and important than they actually are, which leaves a sour taste before the night even begins. Verdict: Go there for the loud music, the stellar dance floor, and the great internal vibe. It’s a very fun space to party, but go in with tempered expectations regarding the entry staff’s attitude and the overall service speed if you're hosting a large group.
We’ve visited Matahaari several times in the past and genuinely loved the place for its atmosphere, music, crowd, and overall experience, which is why this visit was so disappointing. What was once one of Mumbai’s more enjoyable nightlife spots now feels like a shadow of itself. The Saturday night crowd was underwhelming, the DJ kept repeating the same tracks, and the service was painfully slow, with orders taking 30-40 minutes to arrive and showing up cold despite the venue not being particularly busy. Spending nearly ₹12,000 for four people and leaving within 45 minutes says everything about how poor the experience was. It’s unfortunate to see a place we once enjoyed decline so drastically. Definitely not worth the money anymore, and there are far better options in the city for music, food, and service.
This is a VEG ONLY club with Herbal Hukka. A combination which makes it a favourite of RICH Gujjus and Marwadi. Nothing wrong in this. BUT this very fact makes it a NICHE. Meaning there is almost no crowd that turns up. I don't think it's much fun dancing alone on the dance floor. Ambience & Dj are top notch. Unfortunately the Sound system has been setup too poorly. Bass is good but the high notes get too high for comfort. Food choice is limited & quite dismal. Drinks are exorbitant and even then the LIT was all water. This, after we asked the waiter to make it stronger twice..... After we used our cover charges we ordered for some beer for which the waiter 'sharfu' asked the payment to be made to his personal gpay. I am not even sure that amount reached the restaurant. All in all, go to this place only if you are hell bent on going to a veg only club and are ok with an empty dance floor. Rest, just skip it.
Attended club’s party in June. Wow !!! What a party. The ambiance was just so perfect. 👌🏻 Food was delicious 😋 all vegetarian. The service was too good. All staff members were too polite and helpful. Special mention Manoj Singh was very nice person. DH was also very good. 👍🏻
An amazing nightclub in Worli, Matahaari offers an amazing experience and the perfect clubbing getaway. We had a blast at Matahaari during a private event and enjoyed with a nice DJ, amazing food and wide variety of drinks. The location is also nice, we enjoyed till late night and it was very easy to get a taxi after finishing. Would definitely recommend this place for a clubbing night
