Bademiyan is one of Mumbai’s most iconic food spots, and it definitely lives up to its reputation. Located in Colaba, this place is especially famous for its late-night crowd and irresistible aroma of freshly grilled kebabs. The moment you arrive, you can see the energy—people waiting, food being prepared live, and the buzz of a true street food legend. I tried the seekh kebabs, chicken tikka, and their signature rolls, and everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was juicy, well-marinated, and full of rich, smoky flavor. The rolls, in particular, are a must-have—perfectly wrapped, filling, and extremely satisfying. Portion sizes are decent, and the quality of ingredients stands out. Service is quick despite the heavy rush, which is impressive. The staff is efficient and manages orders well, even during peak hours. Prices are slightly on the higher side compared to regular street vendors, but you’re paying for both taste and legacy. Seating can be limited, and you might have to stand or wait, but that’s part of the authentic experience. Overall, Bademiyan is a must-visit for anyone who wants to enjoy classic Mumbai street-style Mughlai food.
“Great taste and consistent quality. The kebabs and rolls are delicious, especially chicken tikka and rumali roti. Slightly crowded and prices are on the higher side, but the taste makes it worth it.” “Paneer Crispy at Bademiya is absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy outside, soft paneer inside, and great flavor. A must-try for vegetarians 🔥”
Bademiya in Colaba remains a legendary haunt for meat lovers, consistently delivering high-quality, flavorful dishes that never fail to satisfy a carnivorous craving. While the food is undoubtedly the star, the experience is a bit of a mixed bag; the cozy, bustling interior only houses about six small tables, meaning you should almost always expect a wait in the outdoor queue. The vibe is authentic, yet the maintenance of the seating leaves something to be desired—the stained velvet sofas are a disappointing contrast to the prestige of the brand and desperately need a deep vacuuming. If they were to spruce up the upholstery and perhaps add some fresh fruit juices to the menu for those avoiding soda, this local staple would truly be an unbeatable gem.
I was not at all happy with the taste of food. Though they have a few non veg options, I couldn't find any with gravy. Menu had iall tems likerolls, tilkka, fry. We were lucky to get a table, after a very tiring day. There is huge foot traffic here because of its legacy and the location. Being a Sunday, people were just pouring in as couples, familiy, young vibrant people from all sections of life. I was not at all impressed with their mutton dum biriyani. However, egg chicken roll saved the day. The cooking happens on the other side of the road opposite the dining area. If you are a person looking for a peaceful, destination with an ambience, i would suggest you to go for some other location. Due to LPG shortage they dont use cooking gas and hence could not help us witha flask of hot watee for our baby, which is totally acceptable.
Ordered chicken biryani. Received potato instead of chicken, taste is pathetic. Also paid rs 450 for this biryani which we could easily get for 100 that too with better taste. Please save your money
