Overall, this was a great hotel with good ambience and great home-made breakfast. It had a variety of continental and traditional Marathi dishes as well. The kitchen staff was also very friendly and approachable whenever we asked them to make any special dishes. A special thanks to the manager, Nilesh, who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was extremely comfortable. He also coordinated all of the tours we did in the city as well as gave us good recommendations on restaurants to eat and places to see. Also, Rajaram and Rahul were always there to assist us with any problems we had in a very timely manner. Overall, I highly recommend booking your stay here.
The hotel was exactly like the photos, but they didn't do it justice. Everything was so beautifully curated from the moment you step off the street until you're in your room. The room was big, the bed was very comfortable, the linens lovely, the shower was more powerful than our one at home, the breakfast was vast, varied and very tasty! However, it was the little touches that really went above and beyond that made me very happy! The staff couldn't have been more helpful, or friendly. The Subko coffee shop in the common area was an unexpected bonus!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Abode in Mumbai. Nilesh and his team were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, well equipped and perfect to escape the carnage awaiting outside. It's located in a fabulous part of Mumbai, close the Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Palaca Hotel. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and the tours on offer and massages are well worth the money and experience. We highly recommend the early morning tour of the veg, flower and fish markets, and also make sure you experience the slum tour of Dharavi (something I wasn't so keen to do, but so glad I did). All in all, you won't find a better place to stay in Mumbai, unless for a 5* kinda person, but then maybe India isn't for you anyway 😉
Nilesh, Norbert and the entire team at Abode are incredibly knowledgable and hospitable. The hotel offers a bit of peace after a busy day walking around Mumbai. Would recommend to all. Room was beautiful, the building is impeccably decorated and furnish. Stones throw away from Taj Hotel and Gateway of India. We will only stay here if we return to Mumbai. Thanks to the team for making our stay in Mumbai so amazing.
What a lovely little boutique hotel this is. Decorated in a charming style of classic old Bombay. A really welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. I arrived early and their reception area is a cosy little haven where you can feel comfortable unwinding for a couple. The breakfast was delicous and showed great pride in the local cuisine. And the coffee was the best I had in India. If you are in south Mumbai and in need of a good espresso and an oasis during the day it is great to visit.
