Don’t waste your €25 paying for access to all areas. I left dissatisfied Although there were some interesting pieces, it was very limited. Mostly it was trash and an insult to intelligence At least it was easy to move around since there weren’t that many people there on my visit (a Sunday afternoon) Cafe was busy, well there was a queue and it was moving slowly Building itself is quite beautiful Million other ways to enjoy your weekend. It was one of the worst experiences in Milano
Really cool art scene. Some of the exhibits you have to pay for the see but some you can just walk around which was cool. Be dry interesting use of space and integration of artwork throughout.
I was here in October, and as an architect, this visit really stayed with me. At the time, the space was shaped by the Inequalities exhibition — not loud or flashy, but thoughtful and layered. Instead of just showing objects, the exhibitions used space, data, maps, and installations to talk about cities, society, and imbalance. You could feel that architecture itself was part of the message, guiding how you move, pause, and reflect. It felt less like walking through galleries and more like walking through ideas. Quiet, intelligent, and deeply relevant exactly the kind of place that reminds you why design matters.
A very nice design museum! Definitely get the tickets for all exhibitions as they highlight different aspects of the design discipline.
I visited the museum at around 9pm on 11 February 2026. There are a few exhibitions about the winter Olympics and Italy, winter sports and even a live TV hall for people to watch the competitions of the ongoing Milan winter Olympics. The exhibitions are very informative and I was glad that English is provided in the exhibitions.
