This hotel exceeded every expectation. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped. The dyson hair dryer was amazing! The staff was attentive, welcoming and genuinely friendly. Food and drink were superb! The location was perfectly situated and convenient to everything we wanted to do. We can’t wait to return.
Good things first: The Bar and the Service is really friendly and welcoming and also nice designed - there is a Personal Note and fruit Basket waiting on arrival. It gives a Soho House Energy on first side. However, the deeper you dive, esp. when it comes to the room and Overall attention to Detail: it’s Not a five Star House. The Rooms have scratches at every wall, the Air Con is very old and the bathroom feels just empty and without Soul, There is no decotation or proper cabinet to put your stuff. The shower was small. The amenities from Woods Copenhagen and additional Toothpaste, comb e.g. was nice to have. They also provide free sparkling & still water. Also I have to say in real life the room by far don’t Look as aesthetic and Pleasing as in the pictures but rather just worn Off. Unfortunately during our stay we also started missing an eyecream and medication we had left in our Room, maybe it was thrown away by accident or placed somewhere where we could not find it anymore… Overall I would say service & „Community Spaces“ are nice and give a Soho house vibe, rooms are not like in the pictures and in real life rather worn off and not as nicely looking. Vibes 4/5. Room 1/5. Service 4/5. Value for money 1.5/5. For the Same Price we would not come back. I would emphasize to elevate the Looks and quality of the Rooms to Match the pictures and „going the extra mile in Service“ F.e. With warm towels upon arrival, a welcome spritz at the bar - just to name a few ideas. Update: Aethos contacted us to resolve this Situation of „missing“ items, even offering a refund. Again, we didn’t feel insecure as we left much Pricier items in the room, it is just weird for us. This Personal dedication to resolve our issue and provide a better stay next time proves how much effort the people and staff puts into Providing a good stay - as already highlighted in the Review.
Worst hotel experience of my life, do not go there it’s not worth your money and it doesn’t come anywhere close to a 5 star hotel. I don’t know where to start describing my bad experience with aethos. To get to our room we had to pass by a bouncer outside who was rude every single time we wanted to go inside the hotel, even once dared to push me with hands as he thought I wasn’t a hotel guest. Then when you go in there is only one person at the reception of this 5 star hotel and u might have to wait 20 min to be able to check in or talk to reception. To get to our room we had to go through the bouncer. The reception, a coffee shop, an outdoor terrace and then another bar restaurant and then we can go to the hallway to our room lol. Inside the room the decoration is nice but it’s a ground floor with barely any daylight and the soundproof is so bad it feels like the people on the other rooms are standing at ur door. One night our neighbors were having a party and we could hear everythin it was a nightmare . All of this was really not worth the 700€ a night we paid but what made me nuts as to go and write this review is that this hotel hires really incompetent people and doesn’t value st all respect or 5 star service in any way . When we checked in they pre authorized the total amount of the stay on my card + 100€ extra for every night we stayed. I found that weird but I said ok. After a few days as I was sleeping my husband sends me that they blocked 1025€ more on our account. I went down to the reception to ask what’s going on the lady there Selena, tells me she doesn’t know to understand those things she needs to call administration. I said ok we will do that upon checking out. As we were checking out it was still only her there and now by magic she decided she can help us and understands the matter. So she said her colleague did the hold by “mistake” at night and she will release it right away. Of course it’s a 5 star hotel u believe them. I travel to Paris and back to my home country and now it’s been 2 weeks. They haven’t released the money and when I call them they DONT ANSWER, they DONT ANSWER EMAILS. They answer WhatsApp’s with automated like responses saying they released the money and now it’s my problem, without any proof or anything. I contacted the bank and the bank says they haven’t and that they need some proof and void invoices; I asked the hotel and they simply refuse to answer me. I really hope before booking there u read this message and don’t set foot in this mediocre place
Cool Vibe, But Service Needs Work This place has an incredibly unique bar, think vintage adventure lodge with leather sofas, antique wood, and even animal trophies. The atmosphere is straight out of a Hemingway novel, and at first glance, it feels like stepping into another era. But the service? Hit or miss. Some bartenders were fun and engaging, while others seemed distracted or even a little careless. I rolled with it, but one moment really stuck with me: I asked about a large framed portrait displayed prominently in the bar (you’d think it had a story, right?). One server offhandedly said, "Oh, that’s my cousin," like it was a joke which felt dismissive. The front desk said they’d ask the owner, but by checkout, no answer. It left me wondering—if the staff doesn’t care about the details, is the whole "vintage charm" just for show? For a hotel that isn’t cheap, it’s surprising they don’t polish the hospitality. The vibe is undeniably cool, but the lack of warmth and attention makes it feel more like a themed set than a place with real history. Final verdict? Worth a drink for the atmosphere, but don’t expect thoughtful service.
Recently, my wife and I designed our own tour of Italy to celebrate our 20th anniversary, which concluded in Milan at the Aethos Milan Hotel, where we spent our final stay. The hotel had everything we were looking for — very unique and stylish, from the lobby and elevator to the rooms themselves. Each room has its own distinct style and theme, making the experience truly one of a kind. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel or location. Everything was lovely. The host, both in the evening and in the morning, was welcoming, pleasant, and friendly. During checkout, they were very helpful, which made our trip to the airport much easier. Staying at this hotel was the perfect way to end our Italian tour.
