I travel extensively and stay almost exclusively at ultra luxury properties around the world, so my expectations are extremely high when it comes to service, communication, and attention to detail. The Mandarin Oriental Milan absolutely delivered. From the moment we arrived, the service felt personal, thoughtful, and genuine rather than scripted or corporate. Emma Sticca, the Director of Guest Experience, was exceptional throughout the stay. Every recommendation she gave us was spot on, from restaurants to local suggestions, and you could tell the guidance came from actual experience rather than a generic concierge list. One restaurant recommendation in particular, Bacaro, ended up being one of the best meals we had during the trip. What stood out most was the consistency. The team was proactive, responsive, warm, and always willing to help without making things feel transactional or forced. Even small things were handled with care and urgency. Luxury hotels are easy to build physically. Creating a team and culture that consistently delivers high level hospitality is much harder. The Mandarin Oriental Milan and Emma truly understand that difference. One of the best hotel experiences we have had in Europe and absolutely a property we will return to.

Right at the entrance, we were greeted with a warm smile for a breakfast buffet. Veronica was helpful and very welcoming as she accompanied us to our table. Paolo then provided us with an excellent service. You can really feel at home in such a professional manner. The lovely ambience and of course the sumptuous array of food whether sweet or salty is just superb! It’s my second time here and it’s always been a satisfying experience. 💯

I couldn’t resist sharing a few words about this wonderful location. The Mandarin Oriental, Milan is set within a truly unique historical context, nestled between Brera, Borgonuovo, and the Quadrilatero della Moda. In a city I have always considered home, I had the pleasure of experiencing breakfast at the Mandarin Garden. Without a doubt, every palate is catered for, and the richness of the buffet ensures you won’t leave hungry. From sweet to savory, from continental to local specialties, the selection is also thoughtfully curated to be healthy and suitable for a variety of dietary preferences. Denis was exceptionally kind during my Breakfast experience and seemed to understand my tastes intuitively—even without knowing me—delighting me with a mini avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg. The avocado was light and creamy, and the bread was of outstanding quality. As an Italian, I truly appreciate the excellence of our local ingredients—so viva l’Italia! I also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Guida and personally complimenting him on the experience. The service throughout was attentive yet never intrusive. The manager, Stefano, introduced himself, and we had a brief but meaningful exchange regarding the service—particularly insightful given my professional background in the industry. A special mention goes to Irene from the Guest Relations department, who truly excels at her role. Sensing my genuine interest in one of the products, she went above and beyond by arranging for me to find in my room the finest pistachio cream I have ever tasted—something I had already enjoyed from the breakfast buffet and absolutely loved. A thoughtful and memorable gesture that made the experience even more special. Even if you are not a hotel guest, this experience is absolutely worth it. The breakfast is open to non-residents as well, making it a perfect stop for anyone visiting the city and looking to enjoy a refined and memorable start to the day. Not mentioning the concierge, promptly ready to share all the best "aperitivo" available in the area and the fabulous Reception, always open to welcome your need and make your stay exceptional!

The accommodations were luxurious. However, the staff's sensitivity with their cheerful vibe exhibited nothing short of your welcome. People make the world go round, and the Mandarin Oriental, Milan is staffed with exceptional people. So all that is left to say is, thank you!

Truly our stay at the Mandarin Milano was superb. Brando at reception and Stephanie your general manager could not have been more kind or welcoming. Likewise- your entire staff was so nice to us the entire time. It was noticeable and memorable.
