Gallerie d’Italia: Spectacular Setting for Italian Art 🇮🇹🏛️ Absolutely extraordinary museum, not only for its collection of Italian art, but also for the building itself, which used to be a bank. The architecture is grand and opulent, making every room feel like part of the exhibit. Beautifully curated, spacious, and elegant—Gallerie d’Italia is a must-visit for anyone in Milan who appreciates art, history, or simply stunning interiors. Highly recommended!
The museum has a rich collection of artworks from different periods. It is very well curated and you can focus and enjoy each painting. I haven't come across such a well-lit exhibition in a long time. There are not many organizers and you can browse at your leisure. My only remark is that there are not many signs indicating the direction in which to go and it is a bit confusing. Its cost is only 5€, which is a reasonable price and don't hesitate to check it out.
Such an amazing collection! It’s amazing that we can visit it free on the first Sundays of each month, the collection is very big, various, and unique.
A good selection of Art. Some have excellent explanations across the museum, others less so. The building is a piece of art itself. Good storage downstairs.
We went on Sunday, and the entry was free. Honestly, we hadn’t planned to visit, but we were passing by and made a YOLO decision to check it out — and it turned out to be a highlight of our stay in Milan. Beautiful exhibitions and a wonderfully curated presentation of the paintings. Apart from the modern art section, which isn’t really our taste, it was truly soothing for the soul. Even if we had to pay for entry, I wouldn’t have regretted it.
