We went on a Wednesday night, our friends from out of town were here visiting and recommended this place for the rooftop. After we paid an entry fee we were told the rooftop was closed. We can understand due to it not being overly busy. So, we got some drinks at the bar and tried to enjoy the rest of our evening. The margaritas were fantastic and the bar staff were kind. Security are strict and do their job correctly to ensure the safety and standard of everyone inside the bar and on the dance floor. No iPhone flash allowed! (We loved this for privacy reasons!!) The music was very mid. The dj’s were playing older classic’s with a new infused tech version which was experimental and it was enjoyable. However, they train wrecked multiple times and didn’t know how to mix or volume control properly. It was overly loud for the amount of people inside. A little embarrassing for our guest as they were all professional international music producers/DJ’s. The demographic was anywhere from 21 to 45. It was nice to see almost everyone dancing and on the dance floor. They had really cool vinyls in a smaller area. Smoking area is next to the bar with closed doors and as a non smoker it didn’t upset me with the smell. I would go back if the rooftop was open! We will try again on a weekend. :)

Music was boring and not worth the $250 peso cover fee but crowd was even worse — no one danced,, everyone was so boring!! Just standing still or blocking the dance floor. Not a fun time 👎 At least the bouncer was nice

Multi-level club with different vibes in every room, great DJs and some of the best cocktails I’ve had in CDMX so far. Favorite level was of course the rooftop

Went here for Discourse on Tuesdays for the language exchange. It had a good vibe. Cover varies from week to week $200-300 pesos. Music gets good at 9p general vibe is very friendly people. It was a little noisy but that was fine. I’d say they do a good job organizing the event. I left at 930p after I got the dance floor started. I’ve stayed til 2am the time before and it definitely gets busy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to meet new people.

Departamento is such a cool spot in CDMX. The vibe is perfect whether you want to hang out on the rooftop or head to the second floor and dance to some really good beats. The staff was polite and constantly checking in to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we were having a great time. We had some small bites and delicious drinks — everything hit the spot. Definitely a great place to go if you want a fun night out with good music, good energy, and a relaxed but lively atmosphere.
