Beds comfortable, really good shower!!! Privacy curtains on the bed. It's a good location in downtown but that comes with some noice! There is no aircon of fans in the room and we had leave the window open to allow some airflow which adds to the noise. It's much better if the windows can shut. Would recommend at least installing a fan in the room it gets stuffy if it's closed. Nice hostel otherwise!
Casa Pepe is a beautiful and clean hostel with a great community vibe. The common area and rooftop bar are perfect spots to relax, meet fellow travelers, and enjoy the atmosphere. I really appreciated the overall design and social spirit of the place. However, two things left a negative impression on me: 1. A solo female traveler in my dorm had an early flight at 7 AM and asked reception if they could book a taxi for her or at least provide the phone number of a reliable taxi company. She was told they couldn’t help and that she should just use Uber. Since Uber couldn’t be booked in advance, she spent the night worrying whether she would make it to the airport safely and on time. Leaving a solo traveler (especially at that hour) without proper assistance doesn’t feel right. At Casa Pepe in Puebla, my friend and I had no issues booking a taxi through reception in advance, so the lack of support here was disappointing. 2. I was charged different prices for the exact same breakfast on two consecutive days. On the second day, I even had fewer items (only one cup of coffee), yet I was charged 20 pesos more. I didn’t understand the inconsistency and it left me unsure about the pricing. Casa Pepe is a lovely hostel with lots of potential, but a bit more care for guest support and consistent service would make the experience considerably better.
great hostal experience! the dorm room beds had curtains and a ledge and locker for small things. beds are comfy and also had bigger lockers in the rooms. great community vibes, and free walking tours! great central location too. the staff were super friendly and helpful!
Way better locations in city. Pretty much no vibe unfortunately. Zero chance I’d stay here again. Also it smelled the whole time bad, like very bad. Felt like I smelled after i left. No social atompahphere at all and know one books any of the activities. For a supposed social hostel that is not true. Booked because I didn’t want a party hostel with lots of noise but due to bad windows and thin walls it was super loud anyway.
It’s a clean and welcoming hostel. All the staff are nice. Food is delicious and fair price. A few things different from my expectations: 1. It located in very busy area so you would be waked up from the traffic sound at 6 in the morning. 2. The shower room in the shared room has very humid smell. Other than that people are nice and professional! The tour they provided is fun.
