A must-visit place for architecture and art lovers, I will argue it’s the best chance to walk into Barragàn’s theory and design techniques by visiting his own house. The place is well managed and under the care of a group of passionate people. make sure you make reservations online first and arrive on time to avoid waiting. On site visiting is a very different experience than reading about it online or in textbook. The curating and little introduction session at the beginning also very well designed for both professionals and beginners. And the planned route navigation is also thoughtful to embodily feel the rhythm of the space. All the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about architecture and culture, you will learn much more and have good conversations if you talk to them! (Me and my friend was sketching and they talked us to see the drawing and chat, that was so sweet)

I’m not someone who studies architecture, but Casa Estudio Luis Barragán completely drew me in. The way the colors, shadows, and natural light interact throughout the home is stunning. It feels intimate, intentional, and almost spiritual. I left feeling inspired. Highly recommend even if you’re not an architecture person.

Amazing experience. Booking in advance allows you to enter with a group of controlled size. You are free to roam, as long as you do not go backward in the "circuit". Staff is friendly and not entitled like in other reviews (probably from people who were late or didn't purchase tickets in advance). The place is beautiful and there is a true added value to be inside versus looking at the pictures. You are allowed to take photos with your phone.

Finally saw this beautiful home today in Mexico City and loved it's many well designed spaces both inside and outside, and it's gardens and patios. What a delightful home environment and one can easily imagine living here for a lifetime. Our guide was wonderful and engenders much respect for Louis Barragan through his first hand stories.

Spectacular experience to be able to visit his home and see the many markers of his architecture and design, within his own dwelling. RECOMMEND!!!!
