We walked into Campobaja by chance and didn’t realize until later that it’s Michelin-recommended. We arrived around 5 pm on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised to get a table. The waiting area downstairs had a great vibe, with an impressive selection of mezcal and tequila. Unfortunately, my alcohol tolerance is pretty low, so I couldn’t really enjoy tasting them, but it was still fun to see. We started with oysters and chocolate clams, which were good and reminded us a lot of what we’ve had in Baja. The octopus leg, however, was the standout dish of the night. It was absolutely amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal. Service was a bit slow, and we didn’t have one dedicated server, but overall it was still decent. For dessert, we ordered the flan. Even though it took quite a while to come out, it was incredibly delicious and totally worth the wait. The restaurant is quite dark at night, making photos a bit challenging. I imagine it would look beautiful during the daytime. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit in Mexico City.

The atmosphere here is very elegant, and visiting on a rainy day adds a completely different kind of charm calm, cozy, and beautifully atmospheric. I usually prefer sweeter cocktails. Based on the recommendation, the drink I tried was just okay not bad, but not particularly memorable. However, some of the appetizers stood out with a very interesting sweet-and-sour balance, which was quite unique. The main course was also well executed and enjoyable. The octopus with chips, though decent, wasn’t especially impressive compared to the other dishes. I’d recommend exploring other items on the menu instead. Overall, a lovely place with a great ambiance and several strong dishes worth trying.

This was my favorite meal of our week-long trip in CDMX. The octopus was amazing. Best octopus we have had anywhere. Soft and not rubbery at all, and seasoned perfectly. I'd go back just for that. We also had the special oysters (the oyster dish with caviar). Also excellent! Our last dish was a grilled fish. Perfectly cooked. Lots of flavor. Great entree! Definitely was worth the splurge. The only disappointment was the shrimp dish we had. The shrimp themselves were great, but it just seemed too salty for us. Oh well, maybe we were just spoiled by all the other dishes.

Some of the best bites we had in CDMX. The atmosphere is relaxed and loved the retractable roof. The spicy margarita was fantastic. We also had the mussels, aguachile curry, tuna tostadas, and fried shrimp. The mussels were a flavor bomb. We also went on a Monday night and the food came out super fast and the service was perfect. Will be dreaming of this meal for a while.

Overall really good food, wonderful service. The Pulpo is abs the best I’ve ever had. Oyster is not good enough but considering it’s in Mexico the quality is fine, the other is fish taco, great still. All in all, really good, would definitely come back again. Just little advice…it’ll be great if you can prepare a copy of English menu🥹been struggling to read the menu, luckily we have AI now so I can get some fast recommendations. Also ordered cocktails, personally prefer sweet drinks so I think it’s smoked whisky not good enough for me.
