We came to see a friend play a gig here and it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday arvo The venue was really lovely, the music was great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful even though the place was absolutely packed. The manchego & jalapeno croquettes were absolutely to die for, the flavours were incredible. Overall it was good food, good vibes, good people. We'll definitely be back!

Pretty hard to fault. Crew at the bar were really friendly. Table for our large lunch group was well organised. Food & drink ordering was simple. Everyone seemed very happy with their meals. All good!
Not sure they know that salt exists. I had chips with my Parma and the chips weren’t paired with salt. I’m not sure that chips have ever been drowning with nothing other than oil. Might need to dig some salt out of Greenland to supply The Standard
Love this pub overall. It's an absolute gem in the back streets of Fitzroy, with a lovely vibe. Was a bit disappointed with my Sunday roast yesterday though, just for the size of it. You expect a roast to fill a hungry stomach but this was really tiny. It was tasty but could have done with more of it.
