I enjoyed my experience at the supernormal for the most part. 3.5 stars. At first we were seated at the edge of the bar there was a dead bug even though we booked month in advanced. Luckily there was a spare table so we could switch. If that hadn’t had happened I think it would have made my experience quite poor as the seating was so uncomfortable plus the fact that there was a dead bug on the table so the experience would have been 2 stars instead of 3.5. The concept is there overall but there was some poor execution elements. The waiter tried his best even though there were some improvements but I will leave it it wasn’t a big deal. The food however, tasted quite bland and I was really let down by the lobster roll. I had it a few years ago and not sure if my taste buds had changed but it was so mediocre. The other food was also bland, the highlight was the fish and the dumplings but it was nothing to make me go wow I need to come back. Overall I would recommend people to try it once especially if you like asian fusion that is a bit blander side maybe if your an older couple you may enjoy this or don’t enjoy authentic asian but still like flavours. However, I won’t be in a rush to come back.

A lively, busy and happening modern restaurant which would be good for a casual meal with friends. The staff were lovely and friendly, very attentive and service speedy. A lot of the food we had was fairly average, no on stand out flavours, but enjoyable. We thought the standard improved throughout the meal, with our favourites being the steak, greens and the desserts - we had the peanut butter parfait and the baked custard with ginger and rhubarb. The fried wontons were also nice. Don’t bother with the lobster roll of which was underwhelming, and the crab dumplings were probably our least favourite. Would not return in a hurry, but absolutely open to trying some other dishes.

Finally dined here after wanting to go for a long time. The service was incredible and so attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. However some of the dishes really didn’t meet the high expectations that we had held before dining here. The most hyped up dish being the lobster roll turned out to lack flavour and was unfortunately quite forgettable. The Korean rice cakes were delicious and a great serving size. The pickled vegetables were also delicious, however consisted mostly of cucumbers, not an array of various vegetables as you may be lead to believe by the name of the dish. The raw snapper and scallop was definitely a highlight of the meal, with great flavour from the lemon ponzu. The prawn and chicken dumplings were also underwhelming. The same goes for the duck bao, we felt that the duck was somewhat dry and some parts were difficult to pull apart, which makes the do-it-yourself assemblage not so fun. Overall we had a nice time, enhanced by the professional service, who were understanding and helpful when mentioning allergies. I would visit again to try some other dishes, but reorder the Korean rice cakes.

I understand the rave cos the restaurant was vibey and it was recommended by some friends! We went in a group and were asked to only do the banquet but we only wanted to try the ala carte items, thankfully the team was very kind to accommodate our request! 3 stars for the service and vibes but less 2 stars because though the food was decent it was indeed super normal, some hits, most misses and definitely not worth what we paid for, but maybe it just my individual experience and opinion there. Hits: Scallops, this was the best dish for me and jr was a starter, a really good balance of flavour!! beef tartare - Yum, love the touch of yuzu. Misses: grilled king prawns - a little mushy, not exactly the freshest lamb & steak - mid dumplings - nothing special, not worth $22 ◡̈ claypot rice - a little confusing with the vinegar and missing the char that claypot rice should come with Overall okay, but doesn’t need a special stop and $$$, but your money your choice haha

Love this place. Great service and food. You can sit at the large bar and watch the kitchen staff, so it's perfect for solo travelers. They also can make most decisions half-portion so you can try more stuff. I had the brown butter scallop, lobster roll, lamb shoulder + eggplant, and peanut butter parfait. Everything was great but the lobster roll was probably my least favorite. I probably my least favorite. Kinda wish I had gone with a dumpling or bao bun. The lamb shoulder was the star of the show. The meat was tender and juicy and it was swimming in sauce and spices. Get a side of rice to soak up the sauce. Peanut butter parfait was a nice light dessert to finish off. 10/10 recommend this place!
