Honestly one of the best (if not thé best) restaurants in the world I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried a lot across the globe !!). Every time I dine here it’s like being taken on a flavour adventure, this time inspiration was taken from Spanish/Latin cuisines. My visiting friend from Norway (who’s not vegan) was equally impressed with the dishes, all of them so well executed and special !! You can tell the chefs put a lot of thought and effort into every dish they create. We opted for the set menu, dishes the chefs pair together, each course comes with multiple dishes, you really won’t leave hungry. However silly gooses we were - we were so excited when we ordered that we added on even more dishes we wanted to try à la carte that we could barely finish the quantity (would still recommend tho as they will provide take-away containers for leftovers:)). We could not get over how delicious each dish was !! Big compliments and appreciation to all the staff we interacted with - so so friendly and knowledgeable and really made the night even better than it already was !! Thank you for the wonderful perfect night, will definitely be back:))

Today was my second time to Smith + Daughters and both times were excellent. The first was in late November 2025- I was in a party of 3 and we just ordered one of everything from the starters and mains. We over ordered (an us problem- our eyes were bigger than our tummies) but everything was delicious. My friends had been to a rather expensive vegan degustation in Elsternwick the night before and felt that the food at Smith + Daughters was better! The second time I was in a party of 2 so we did the chef's choice 4 course menu. Luckily the second time the chef's choice included my particular favourites of the fava dip (with flatbread), and white beans with padron peppers. I also really enjoyed the stuffed Lebanese zucchini, the asparagus, and the "chicken" pastilla. We also enjoyed the chocolate mousse dessert which I didn't have room for the first time. I could probably have skipped the dessert (although it was delicious) as I was sufficiently full from the savoury courses. I also wish we had a padron pepper each instead of one between two on the dish but it is a small criticism. Tonight we were served by Paris and another server who I didn't catch the name of, both of whom were friendly and attentive. Overall both experiences were 5 stars! I will definitely be back again.

One of the top three vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever visited. Creative seasonal menus featuring unique items with complex tastes, served attractively. Absolutely loved the kofta and chicken pastilla. Attentive and friendly servers. A bit difficult to find, as the building down the street has the same street number. Bench seating was ok but would be better if it was deeper and higher.

Such a unique interior with food to match. I loved their take on the beef tartare and stracciatella, which honestly might’ve been better than actual stracciatella (controversial take? I’ll deal with the backlash) with its freshness and creaminess without the fear of my lactose-intolerant body punishing me They’re so good with their textures as someone who thinks texture is everything in food, so the beef tartare with the diced pickles was right up my alley The paella was a last minute pick and we had no regrets— aromatic and flavourful and definitely filling!

Came here for sous chef Vran and mind was blown. Not a big fan of vegan food but I’m a huge fan of vegan done right since adding more flavor to non-meat products is as hard as defusing a quantum bomb. Service is really “in your face” as in they really look the part, a band of brothers and sisters in arms, always feel really fun and lively here. Thank you Shannon, Vran and the team at Smith + Daughters.
