France-Soir is a true Melbourne institution for a reason. As one of the oldest French restaurants in the city, it still manages to deliver a world-class dining experience. Our group of three had a fantastic time, and the atmosphere was so vibrant that we’ve already booked our next visit for my wife's birthday. The service is impeccable; the waiters are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, adding a layer of expertise that makes the evening feel special. As for the food, the rabbit casserole was absolutely amazing, easily the highlight of the meal. We finished with the rum baba and the chocolate mousse both of which were delicious, though I’m already looking forward to trying a different dessert next time. Highly recommended!

Legit one of my fave French restaurants in Melbourne. The food is always good, and so is the service. Love every bit of it… And oh là là, not very French, but the Martini 🤭

An absolutely exceptional dining experience. The steak was cooked incredibly well — perfectly tender and full of flavour. The steak tartare had this beautiful citrusy brightness (if that makes sense!) that lifted the whole dish. The anchovies were amazing, the bread was perfect, and the Kir Royale cocktails — French champagne with liqueur — were so beautifully balanced. Desserts were on another level: the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée are honestly the best around. The chocolate mousse was incredible, and the glazed biscuit on top was unbelievable. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is what blew me away. It genuinely felt like I was in Paris — incredible how they’ve transformed such a small space into a little slice of France. The energy is fabulous, and the staff were all next level. Truly a standout Melbourne dining experience.

We had the quail with truffle mushroom sauce, roast duck confit here, absolutely fantastic! 🍄 It even better in Paris. The food here is truly exceptional, and the service was outstanding. 💯 The atmosphere was also delightful. I highly recommend it! ✨🍽️

Nice French Restaurant - food are delicious and well prepared, staff speak french well. A bot busy but understandable as it is so popular. Only thing is that when I called to reserve a seat, the waitress seems a bot inpatient
