We wanted to try Cumulus Inc. for its modern Australian, seasonal cuisine with local produce, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, striking a perfect balance between refined and approachable. We loved the Shark Bay scallops and anchovies to start, followed by the O’Connor porterhouse steak, and finished with the baba - easily one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. Glad to have the opportunity to try out this place.
Melbourne really knows how to do food, and Cumulus Inc. was one of the restaurants I really enjoyed during my trip. The service was impeccable, as I often found in Australia, and the atmosphere was lively, warm and very pleasant. The small plates came one after another and were all very good, with that relaxed but polished Melbourne feeling. A great dinner spot and definitely worth visiting.
Amazing food and service!! Food is very rich and complex in flavour with quite generous portion. Ordered the set, and the highlight was definitely the roasted lamb shoulder, very tender and well executed. Service was just another level here, the waiters n waitress are all very attentive and will respond to your need immediately even if you never asked for it, and remained polite and respectful, yet friendly the whole time Definitely worth trying and they live up to their hype
We had a phenomenal lunch celebrating our anniversary. The floor and bar staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. The food was great and the sommelier made brilliant wine pairing suggestions.
We were lucky to catch their oyster happy hour at $2 each, which was excellent value and very fresh. The Wagyu bresaola was a standout and easily one of the best we’ve had. The O’Connor porterhouse and the chicken were both cooked beautifully and full of flavour — you can really sense the kitchen’s confidence in the quality of their ingredients and execution. Overall, a very satisfying meal and a place that clearly knows what it’s doing.
