Had our post meeting dinner at sarsa. And it was lovely, glad that they were able to accomodate us since we are a group of 10 pax and usually sarsa is packed talaga. We ordered a lot. The beef empanada, the savory piaya, chicken inasal, bistek tagalog, sisig, pancit luglog, pancit negra, sizzling kansi, kare kare, chicken isol, kaldereta, pork bbq. What i enjoyed the most was the kare kare, the garlic rice, the savory piaya, kansi. Especially the kare kare, maybe biased but if you dont make it properly its gonna be a miss. Had a cocktail as well kundiman ata yon, which is nice, just wanted a drink since it was a heck of a day. Also ordered tanglad ice tea which is so refreshing! Nice way to end that dinner. Closed our meal by sharing the leche flan, turon and the slated caramel latik piaya. Which is okay naman, nice twist especially on the piaya. Glad they used real coconut milk. Am also a fan of chef jp!
Food is just okay, not amazing, not bad, just decent enough to warrant a return. The sisig is the best out of the bunch with its creamy, balanced savoriness. I also liked the halo-halo, though it certainly isn’t a game changer by any means. The crab torta’s concept is fine but it’s just a bit oddly mediocre. A part of me wished I had ordered the gising-gising instead. The kansi was disappointing though because why are we putting cabbage in it?! I mean it’s my fault for not reading the menu properly and not seeing that that’s their vegetable of choice instead of langka, but STILL. Also, the soup base itself again is just… Okay. You’ll find better kansi in Balay Dako or some random inasal place. At the time dining, it was quite hot. The airconditioner was over 20C+ and no adjustments were made for a full house. What I loved apart from the sisig is the speed of the serving and the overall service. I think I will still return to try their inasal and see if my current review stands.
Tried Sarsa in Salcedo and I can see why it earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe—modern but still very Filipino. The ambiance makes it perfect for a chill dinner or a special catch-up with friends. The food was the real highlight. Everything we tried was full of flavor and very well done. You can really taste the care in each dish. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it’s totally worth it, and honestly, not expensive at all for a Michelin-recognized restaurant. Overall, great food, great ambiance, and a solid dining experience. Definitely coming back. 🍽️✨
The owners of this brand should know that there is high expecation from each patron passing through their doors. There were no warm welcoming .. waiter looked annoyed and try to seat us right next to the morbid looking assuming R. Manager seated near to the kitchen and waiter station The food were not up to par . I was impressed a few years ago with sarsa but not anymore. The guest bathroom toilet bowl and hand wash sink seen better days and it was in dire need of cleaning . Even the manager on site visit it before me without any action to get someone to clean it . The owners and management team should really start with thinking about brand and the guest value chain . Im not sure how it achieve the michelin guide but there is clearly better places to try around manilla and elsewhere. Our visit - Sunday 7th june 2026 . Time | 4pm onwards
We had an incredible dining experience at Sarsá Kitchen + Bar. We ordered the 3-way pork sisig, sizzling KANSI, and Laing, and each dish was outstanding. • The sisig was especially memorable—one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever tasted, perfectly balanced with flavor and texture. • The Laing was cooked to perfection, and the addition of dried anchovies made it the ideal companion dish. • The sizzling KANSI was rich and social, highlighted by the indulgent bone marrow that elevated the flavors. We ended the meal with their halo-halo, which was a delightful and refreshing finale.
