Absolutely loved this hostel! We did only stay one night, as we only had one night in Manila but this hostel was perfect. The room was a good size and really clean. The shower had a good pressure and was nice and hot. The bed was comfortable and more importantly, we couldn’t near any noise from the corridor or the street, so we had a really good sleep. We didn’t explore Manila much, only visited a shopping centre but the hostel did feel like it was in a good location, and only 20ish minute drive from the airport which is great. Staff was reception were great. This hostel felt great for all ages, would highly recommend!
I originally booked Lub d Makati for just one night, but I ended up extending my stay several times throughout the week because I genuinely enjoyed being here. What stood out most was the staff. From the front desk to security to the breakfast team, everyone was consistently friendly, professional, and eager to help. I especially want to recognize Lorie and Gab, who went above and beyond every morning at breakfast. They always took the time to ask how my stay was going, remembered me from previous days, and made me feel welcomed. It’s the little things that make a difference, and they absolutely delivered. I’ve stayed at hotels that cost two or three times as much and didn’t receive the level of service I experienced here. For a budget-friendly hotel, the hospitality was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a luxury resort where you’ll spend all day in the room, this may not be the place. But if you’re visiting Makati, plan to be out exploring, and just need a clean, comfortable, well-located place to come back to at night, Lub d is hard to beat. The value for the money is excellent, and the people working here are what truly make it special. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to the Philippines.
Spent 2 comfortable nights here. The room was spacious, quiet, and well-provided with essentials, and staff quickly accommodated my request for an iron. The only downside was the inconsistent service at check-in. Foreign first-timers were given a chance to play a "lucky wheel" game, while I, a local first-timer checking in at the same time, was ignored. The stay itself was good, but hospitality should be equal for everyone.
Highly recommend Lub D! The atmosphere is upbeat and the service is top-notch. A huge thank you to Connie for being incredibly helpful and kind throughout my stay. I once lost my keytag and she made it super easy for me to get access to my room again. Her positive attitude and constant smile really brightened my day! She's a gem 😊
I booked for a family friend and overall experience was ok. Room was clean and tidy. Accommodation price is reasonable but the only issue was the air-conditioning. As per conversation with the family friend, it was all fine until she was awaken in the middle of the night completely drenched with sweat cause apparently the air-condition was not working. Overall, it is a descent accommodation especially if you are on a budget but I sincerely hope they will fix the air conditioning. Thank you.
