⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved this place, a must-visit for vegans in Manila! I was blown away by this vegan restaurant. They serve fantastic vegan versions of classic Filipino dishes, like their vegan sisig, which was seriously impressive. The flavors are so rich and bold that I would happily bring my meat-eating friends here, they wouldn’t even miss the meat. The portions aren’t very big, which I actually see as an advantage. It lets you comfortably try two different dishes instead of feeling stuffed after just one. Everything I tried was very rich in taste, and for the quality and creativity, the prices are extremely modest. The place itself is unique too. It’s decorated like a cozy cave, which gives it a really cool, chill vibe. Note that it’s on the 4th floor, so it’s a bit tricky to find if you don’t know where to look, but it’s totally worth it. Bonus points for the amazing mocktails from their sister non-alcoholic bar Gnostic, which shares the same space. If you’re vegan (or even just curious) and visiting Manila, do yourself a favor and come here. Highly recommended! P.S. Only downside was that the water tap and toilet flush tank weren’t working properly when I visited.
I ate at Cosmic earlier today at their Makati branch and tried a few of their savory dishes. I ordered Set 4, which comes with sisig and BBQ, also added the Laksa noodle with bagnet and their tempura enoki mushrooms plus second order of the BBQ. I skipped the drinks and desserts for now since I wanted to focus on the mains. I enjoyed each dish. The enoki mushrooms were nice and crispy, the BBQ had that smoky flavor, and both the sisig and bagnet were crispy and well-seasoned. The laksa had a mild coconut cream base—rich but not overpowering. I do wish it had a bit more cilantro, but overall it was still really good and not too spicy, which I liked. I’ll definitely go back to try more of their dishes. Also, I forgot to get the cashier’s name, but she was very accommodating. I asked her about the two large jars of scoby on display, and she even offered me a small taste. It was similar to vinegar but with a slight sweetness—interesting and refreshing. I’d love to try more of that next time. Overall, a solid experience and worth coming back to.
A rare vegan restaurant in the Philippines. It's a little hard to find, as it's on the 4th floor inside a residential-looking building. The decoration is an odd combination of stone garden and industrial polished steel. You get given cool refrigerated water and the restaurant is air conditioned. As a vegetarian, I don't usually go to vegan restaurants as I often find the food kind of bland and lacking in richness, but here I was pleasantly surprised. You'll find Filipino and Japanese classics with the meats substituted with decent fake meats or tofu. The broths are tasty and the fake meat texture is well accomplished. The "solo" portions are cheap but fairly small. It's kind of starter size. You may want to order two mains or add a couple of sides depending on your appetite. Definitely worth a visit!
I had a great experience at Cosmic Poblacion, Makati – A Vegan Restaurant & Cafe. The place has a vibrant and cozy atmosphere that makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a healthy meal. The food was delicious and very well prepared, with creative vegan dishes that were both flavorful and satisfying. I also appreciated the variety on the menu, offering many plant-based options that even non-vegans can enjoy. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the visit. Overall, it’s a fantastic place if you’re looking for tasty vegan food in a comfortable and stylish setting. I would definitely come back again to try more of their dishes.
FYI you have to go up to the 4th floor in the elevator past the reception to get to it. Miso soup was amazing. Sisig was good but most of it burns at the bottom so it gets real crunchy so it kinda put me off. But the bbq Isaw was incredible. I got a cute little view out the window but a lot of the chairs look real uncomfortable. Always nice to actually get to try a version of Asia food. Music could be a lot happier!
