We stayed at The Edwardian Manchester for two nights while travelling from London to watch a Manchester United match, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautifully presented, with comfortable rooms, excellent facilities, and a fantastic location in the heart of Manchester. Throughout our stay, we ordered in-room dining on both days, and the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Rafa from the in-room dining team, who took great care of us during our stay. He was professional, friendly, attentive, and always ensured that everything was delivered promptly and exactly as requested. His excellent customer service really enhanced our experience and made us feel genuinely welcome. The food was delicious, the service was efficient, and every member of staff we encountered was courteous and helpful. It’s always the people who make a stay memorable, and Rafa certainly went above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return the next time we visit Manchester. Highly recommended. Thank you once again for a fantastic stay. Shaheen & Rejwana
This is a beautiful hotel, with top notch service and facilities. You are welcomed by lovely people in the reception area and all other facilities. Remember to book spa pool time when you arrive, the times get fullt booked quickly. If you want a spa treatment it would be good to book in advance, it was fully booked the first two days of our stay. I would book your stay directly with the hotel for better information. Breakfast was the best I have experienced in Manchester, the choices are many and tasty. Thank you every single one of the workers and managers for a great experience, and we will surely be back.
The service was unexpectedly exceptional — every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The overall vibe of the place was fantastic and the bed was absolutely wonderful. The gym and spa facilities were incredible, spotless, well equipped, and a real highlight of our stay. Also, my partner accidentally left her AirPods in the gym. I contacted the hotel and they located them quickly and they had them returned to our home address within a week. Truly impressive service! We truly enjoyed our time here and we will most definitely be staying again and recommending this hotel to others!
We stayed at The Edwardian Manchester and overall had a decent experience, but several issues prevented it from being a truly enjoyable stay. The hotel’s biggest strengths are its excellent central location, comfortable rooms, and outstanding gym. Everything is within walking distance, yet the room was very quiet despite being in the city center (we stayed on the 9th floor). The room offered a beautiful view, a very comfortable bed, and quality bedding. While the hotel is old, it is well maintained and still feels elegant. The spa is relatively small but enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing and was the biggest downside of our stay. The receptionist who checked us in was not particularly welcoming, the concierge did not even greet us or say goodbye when we left, and the woman working in the spa was genuinely rude and unfriendly. When we asked for towels, it felt as though she was doing us a favor rather than simply helping hotel guests. The only staff member who left a positive impression was the gentleman assisting guests with luggage at the entrance, who was professional and helpful throughout our stay. Another issue was our departure on May 31. The hotel had recommended the parking facility where we left our car, yet nobody informed us that the city center would be completely blocked due to a marathon. When we were leaving for the airport, we discovered that all roads around the area were closed and it was essentially impossible to exit legally. Security staff at the roadblocks repeatedly told us there was no way out. We spent a considerable amount of time speaking to different security personnel and city staff, trying to find a solution, and eventually managed to leave only through special exceptions. Had we not allowed extra time, we could easily have missed our flight. Considering that this was a planned event and the hotel knew our departure date, a simple warning in advance would have allowed us to make alternative arrangements. The lack of communication caused unnecessary stress at the end of our stay.
Stopped by The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel for a meeting and came away really impressed. Didn’t stay overnight, but the hotel feels very high-end and well put together. The Champagne bar was a real highlight—great atmosphere, a nice selection, and a relaxed feel. Loved the added touch of books around the space too, which makes it feel a bit different and more inviting. Food was very good and the staff were lovely throughout—attentive, friendly, and professional. If the rest of the hotel matches what I saw, it’s clearly a top-quality spot. Would definitely return.
