I disliked this venue because it's in a basement that has damp walls. The toilets were not clean at all. The venue also felt overcrowded. Which made it too hot. The good parts were. The Artists I and my brother had come to see. Food House who put on a great performance, we'd seen them before at a different venue. We would watch Food House again in future. But Not in Soup Manchester. The other good part was. The Staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's just the venue itself that let the event down.
Excellent live venue. The soundguy (didnt get his name) did an amazing job for Disgracings EP Release show and made every band sound great!
Always a good set of purple down here, really nice doordtsff, and most importantly the music! Very good, well programmed selection of nights to accommodate the varied clientele whom go clubbing here. Very open-minded venue & very accepting.
Nicest people on the earth. Not only the coolest atmosphere in town and great music, even not being my cup of tea, but they helped me twice when I have left once my wallet some years ago and recently a jacket. If you come to MCR is it guaranteed that you gonna find the best atmosphere in this venue.
The music venue side is shockingly bad. The sounds system has been completely thrown together. Oversized bass bins and ive seen 2 gigs there in the last month and the sound is pretty terrible. Its bad because bands are working hard and the live sound in this venue did absolutely nothing for the bands playing. Its just bass. Also hire better sound guys who know what they are doing. Sort it out as theres way way better sounding venues like Pink Rooms.
