We had a wonderful time in the museum . There is so much to see and learn about . We spend 3 hours there and we still didn't have seen everything . We needed to be somewhere else on time so we had to leave but I would love to come back and visit it all . There is a lovely gift shop and place to eat and drink . Very easy to get to by foot as well as public transport . The entrance is free but you can donate something if you can . Definitely worth the visit . Do make sure though you plan enough time to visit .

Had a great time visiting here today. Was free but booked the triceratops exhibition in advance. I recommended leaving a donation if you can afford it though. Egyptian room was excellent, lots of dinosaurs as well. Lot of exhibits on multiple topics. The South Asia gallery was interesting and thought provoking as well. I spent three hours there but I read everything 😀

We visited Manchester for the weekend and managed to squeeze in a trip to the museum. It’s a great space, thoughtfully divided into three main sections, which made exploring really enjoyable. However, I did feel that the African section seemed to lack resources or materials compared to the others — though it’s possible I may have missed something. Overall, it was still a worthwhile visit.

This is a small but lovely museum. The highlight of which is a T-Rex! Only comment I would make is that the “decolonisation” plaques and information seems disjointed and out of context. There is little more than a skin deep discussion of the topics, and opinion is presented as fact, and without alternative views or context.

Great staff overall were really helpful and friendly and informative about the exhibits in the museum. There is a lot to read and look at in this museum and interactive experiences like games and music. Nice layout maybe needs more things in the final 2 exhibits but rest of it really fun
