We dined at Mana last night and overall it was a beautiful experience from start to finish. Some dishes were slightly salty for my personal taste, and the desserts were very unusual, interesting and creative, though not all of them were to my preference. That said, the level of technique and originality was impressive throughout. What truly made the evening special was the care the team showed me during my pregnancy. They prepared alternatives and it honestly felt like a separate tasting menu created just for me. Every time a dish arrived, the staff immediately knew it was mine and reassured me about the ingredients and safety. That attention to detail made me feel genuinely looked after. The service, the professionalism of the chefs and waiters, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. A memorable and thoughtful experience, and we really appreciated the effort the team made for us.🤍
From the moment we were welcomed into the lounge with the first canapés, it felt like the start of a real journey rather than just another lunch. The restaurant has a relaxed, joyful atmosphere and I love that the tables are angled towards the open kitchen, so you can watch the theatre and craft of the team at work while you eat. One of the real pleasures here is that the chefs themselves bring and introduce many of the dishes. It gives each plate a sense of character and ownership, and you feel drawn into Simon’s ideas as it is very clearly his menu and his vision throughout. The menu is masterfully crafted. For me, the stand-out dishes were the scallop and the wagyu beef, both cooked with incredible precision and depth of flavour. The service matches the food. Harry, the sommelier, was knowledgeable and engaging, and he paired one course with my favourite wine variety, which was a lovely touch. David, the sous chef, was joyous and charming as he guided us through the final dishes of the meal. My wife and I have eaten in many Michelin-starred kitchens, and Simon and his team are really pushing the bar here. I can genuinely see a second star coming their way.
What an experience. Every dish was a beautiful journey. Its a bit of a fusion with japanese cuisine. My sister and I love food and the experience involved in making food. Every table faced the chefs and it was quite fun watching them work and hearing where the dishes originated and how they were prepared. We loved every bite and every bit. Highly recommended
This isn’t a one star restaurant…. This is more like a two star. From first arrival you release this place is very special indeed. Superb service from very well trained staff, in a natural, intelligent way. The food is off the charts. The level of design and preparation is immense - to call it cooking is simply not enough. This restaurant is one of the best experiences I’ve had and that ranks it along the likes of Core by Clare Smyth and the three-starred Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa. Well done Simon and your team for a brilliant evening!
Went to Mana with my 10 year old daughter for her first Michelin Star. We loved it. Each course was a work of art. Perfection!!
