My husband and I enjoyed a short break at this boutique hotel in central Manchester in June 2025. Ideally located - a quiet street with v little noise but only a 5 minute walk away from bustling bars, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast and room service within the hotel itself with a great choice offered for both. I visited their spa which is based in the adjoining building. I enjoyed a blissful massage and as a guest of the hotel was then able to stay and enjoy the other communal facilities of the spa on a complimentary basis. What probably sets this hotel apart from other boutique hotels in the area is their lovely rooftop infinity pool. With great views and open air (during the warm weather) it felt really special. Being a converted Georgian building there is only one lift (elevator) which is small. This is often in use by the hotel’s staff (housekeeping etc) so you may have to wait a little while. No parking on site but discounted parking a short walk away. The staff were really warm and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for afternoon tea, spa and one night at King Street Townhouse Hotel and overall it was an average experience, beautiful but average. The room felt quite dark and a bit dingy, and the layout didn’t really flow well, it just didn’t have that calm, well-thought-out feel. The spa was okay considering it’s right in the middle of town. The facilities are quite basic, but the massage itself was nice. That said, the overall atmosphere didn’t give that cosy, relaxing feeling you’d expect, so it didn’t feel particularly special. So on a positive note, the afternoon tea was lovely with a great selection of teas, which we really enjoyed. It was fine for a one-night stay, but not somewhere I would personally return to.

We had a quick 1 night stay here & wish we could have stayed longer to really enjoy all they have to offer! We did get to have a snack & drinks at the bar which was delicious. The complimentary thermal suite access we loved and had our to ourselves when they opened at 7am. The sauna & salt room were my favorite. The breakfast can be delivered to your room & was delicious and right on time. Would definitely return here next time we're in Manchester!

We had an amazing, traditional afternoon tea here. Lovely sandwiches with homemade bread, tomato bread, spinach bread yummy. Delicious cakes we took some home. Excellent service. All areas were immaculate even though some refurbishment was taking place upstairs. 5/5 👜👜👜👜👜 handbag review highly recommend you try here. Check out our photos they speak louder than words 🥳👏

A lovely night’s stay in a ‘comfy’ room. Really big bed, stylish decor, robes/slippers ,coffee machine, teas ,well stocked minibar. Spa was a relaxing way to spend the next morning after a delicious breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyable entertainment in the Tavern with a violinist playing. A special mention to the extremely friendly and helpful staff, nothing seemed too much trouble.A particular mention to the porter Tom for excellent service and to the lovely Lizzy on reception who ‘saved the day’ by helping me retrieve my concert tickets! Assets to the establishment.
