Location: central central central, walk everywhere, forget Uber. Plenty of food options as soon as you exit the premise, Starbucks right opposite the entrance. Building: old but renewed. Big a lot of floors, but there's an elevator that works. Staff: friendly, fast and helpful. Rooms: CLEAN, new, beds are comfy, plenty of space, lockers (bring your lock) in the rooms, showers and toilets in the room. Fresh bedsheets, very quiet. There's a small fee to drop your luggage outside of check-in and check out times (3,50). I did not use the common areas such as bar and breakfast area. I have paid 20 euros a night for a bed in a 6 beds dormitory all female

This hostel was really nice and the staff were amazing :) it was in a beautiful older building with a great central location. However, I rate it three stars because 1. Despite being a co-ed room, the showers had glass doors that were semi-transparent when wet and were visible from the main dorm room 😭 there were also no hangers in the shower. Kinda just made me uncomfortable lol. 2. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I noticed an orange stain on the counter (probably vitamin c powder) that was left there for multiple days. There was also some sick individuals in the dorm, so would have been nice if these areas were sanitized daily. Despite these two things, I am happy with my stay. I just wanted to leave a review so these things can be improved in the future. Shoutout to the desk staff, they were so nice!

The bed and room was comfortable, with friendly reception staff. Although there are serious hygiene problems here, on two of the mornings cockroaches were running around the bathrooms. The bathrooms need cleaning twice per day, not once. Also the shower gel is basically bring your own, because it doesn’t get refilled. All extra costs you don’t plan for. The breakfast is €11, and definitely not worth this. A basic hostel breakfast, worth around €5-6 but not €11 so I would not recommend you take take this. The WiFi is stable in the common areas but I had no coverage at the bed. Also was hit with a nasty €3.50 fee to store my bags for a few mins when leaving, this dropped my review from a 4 to a 3*

Ran a school trip and this was our accommodation for 45 students and three staff. Overall it was a great hostel with some really kind staff. Other groups there were unfortunately poorly supervised relative to our group and there was a fair amount of running about and noise at night. This is not the hostel's fault though. We had two-three occasions where other guests' behaviour was down right inappropriate and the reception staff were confident in tackling this where it wasn't appropriate for me to do so. I'm not sure what the recent reviews are about in terms of the common area - as a school group we had no particular or special rights to the area and were rarely in there. On our last night the hostel hosted a loud external gathering in the bar and our students couldn't sleep as a result - given we had paid a 10€ deposit per person to ensure our students did not disrupt the peace of other guests, this was rather a double standard. To note: better clarity about room allocation pre arrival would be helpful. Your Saturday staff didn't know anything about your gluten free breakfast and I had to essentially go into the kitchen and point out the gluten free cereal to them. There was also a very significant miscommunication about our rooms which meant we couldn't open any of the windows as all the handles had been taken off. I think this may have been the fault of our travel company rather than the hostel, but one to check if you are running a school trip as rooms were sweltering in February. Staff who helped us on reception were all great apart from the person who randomly shouted at our group to go outside on one occasion - if it's a rule, tell teachers that as it was only one receptionist out of a lot of different people who expected this. A particular shout out to Macarena and Pedro who were reassuring and accommodating with our check out plans and needs for the last day.

Avoid at all costs! This is a hostel we will never return to. We went through a nightmare all night. It’s the first time we’ve ever seen a mouse in a hotel room—and it came from the bathroom! On top of the poor cleanliness, we found other guests’ hair on the pillows, it’s a disaster! The biggest issue is that the room has nothing to do with the photos. We chose this hotel among thousands mainly because of the fake positive reviews that you yourselves add, and we trusted them. In the end, it was a catastrophic experience. We are truly dissatisfied and do not recommend this hotel. From now on, we will read negative reviews, which are usually the most honest.
