An absolute masterpiece of luxury and hospitality! From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were treated like royalty. This hotel redefines 5-star luxury. The attention to detail is unmatched, and the design blends modern elegance with ultimate comfort. Our room was pristine, incredibly spacious, and offered breathtaking views. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the turn-down service each evening was a lovely touch. A special mention must go to the staff—their hospitality was flawless. They were warm, intuitive, and went above and beyond to anticipate our every need without ever being intrusive. The dining experience was equally spectacular; breakfast was a culinary highlight every single morning. If you are looking for an unforgettable, flawless stay, look no further. We cannot wait to return!
I never write reviews simply beacuse I stay in luxury hotels that I know will deliver bit in this case I had traumatic and embarrasing experience at this Hotel Santo Mauro which I chose stay because it was recommended by my partners and also was good location for my biz meetings. I used their main restaurant in a business meeting with recognized restauranteur in the area and when I sit on one of their table's chairs this broje in pieces for me laying down on the floor, and I want to make clear that I'm 6ft and 200lbs [not overweight]. From this moment my biz meeting went dowmhill and it was more like a joke than usual business and the reaction from the restaurant management was non existent and not even a formal apology, I even had my invoice at the end with no discoun, nothing complementary and not even an apology. The staff didn't even pick up the signed invoice from the table and I even as a courtesy included a tip. This wadn't even reported to management and there was never an Manager on duty at the hote, jist a concierge that knew my story the next day from me. Please do yourself a favor and don't stay in this place, just choose any hotel in the area.
Stayed at the Santo Mauro for 3 nights in Nov 2025 and had a great stay! The rooms are a little bit older, but the bathrooms were amazing! The breakfast was great with many great local options, and the dining rooms are super cute and themed. Highly recommend!
We stayed there for 3 nights. Location is in a quiet up market neighbourhood which o recommend vs other JW Marriott more central location. Because it’s the duke previous residence, there is not one room that is the same adding to the charm. The hotel itself is a museum, very high ceiling, grand rooms, the bar is a must visit. But what truly makes this hotel unique and unforgettable is its staff which is highly attentive to your requests. Best hotel we have ever started in in our life. If visiting Madrid again, we shall stay there again. 😀🫶☀️
Just spent a week here. Really incredible experience. We were placed in a secondary building on the ground floor across the courtyard from the main building. We loved being able to walk directly outside right from our room. The room was really nice and spacious. Only complaint was there are basically no windows and not much sunlight. But the room was otherwise great. The staff was helpful and courteous at all times. The outdoor bar was a welcome respite for a cool midday drink to rest up and people watch. Santo Mauro is quiet elegance all the way and would definitely be my top choice when returning to Madrid.
