This pinxtos bar is really extraordinary for their foods and ambience. Weekend night, this place was packed and happening. Our food review: - Nuestra Tortilla de Patatas y cebolla confitada. This was the best tortilla we had while in Madrid. 4.9 star - Huevos rotos con trufa negra y Panceta Ibérica. The egg was perfectly cooked. The smell and taste of truffle was very dominant. This dish is highly recommended 4.9 star - Rabo de Toro deshilachado, en pequeños medallones con su salsa y sobre patatas confitadas. The meat was so tender. The sauce was with very strong beefy taste plus sweetness from (red wine?). 4.6 stars For closing we ordered Pastel the Limon. This desert is very nice. Sweet and sour from Lemon. 4.9 stars The sevice is excellent. Despite very very busy floor, there was always server around us to help. They may not understand english fluently but are very willing to understand and help us. Great job! I would rate this restaurant higher than the average (4.5 by google map) at 4.9 /5.0 stars. Must must try!
Juana La Loca was a fantastic find: excellent service, great wine, and a Spanish tortilla that genuinely feels “life-changing,” just like the reviews promised. Don’t leave without the dulce de leche dessert—it’s a must
I came at 1 pm and could be seated without reservation. Tortilla de patata for 5€ is not bad, but still not my favorite food. A bit too salty to my taste. Nigiri de anguila with foi for 21€ are very good. Service very quick and correct, not the Spanish standard.
Awesome pintxos, the best! Super tasty. We tried the tortillas de cebollas, the foie gras and the rabo the toro! Everything perfectly cooked. Angel gently hosted us at the pintxos bar with excellent recommendations. Place to return every time.
Not sure how this place is so popular. Even with a reservation, be prepared to queue with walk-ins outside until opening time. Admittedly they did seat people quite quickly but 10 minutes waiting out in the cold wasn’t the greatest start. For an ‘authentic tavern’, their choice of (loud) ambiance music is odd - 1980s/90s English language hit songs. We opted for the tortilla which was quite good although the bread it was on was already soggy which left the impression it was prepped already. We then shared the oxtail medallions served on confit potato (which turned out to be only one thin slice of bland spud). Can’t blame this restaurant for not having green sides to offset the richness of the beef given vege that aren’t fried seem to be a rarity in Madrid restaurants. But overall it was a disappointing experience that left us feeling like we’d dined in a tourist trap even though there were a lot of Spanish there.
