It’s one of my favorite places to visit while I’m walking the Madrid’s Sunday flee market! Always busy, tourists waiting in line for dozens of minutes! Maka (the front desk lady) is a charm & her dad slicing the “jamon” or the “chorrizo” (local smokes sausages)! Many “tostas” (sandwiches) to choose from, for meat 🥩 lovers to vegans 🥑!
I must thank my lucky stars that this spot's opening hours coincide with my very short stay in Madrid. I passed by to grab breakfast before heading to the flea market on Sunday morning, full intending to get two types of toasts. However, when I saw how big the portions are, I regrettably had to settle with just one toast with jamon and tomato. I didn't realize that I could dine in, so I grab the toast to go and had it at the park where a flea market was being held. The jamon and tomato was such a god tier combination, with the bread being the perfect vessel to hold them together. It was salty, sour and FRESH in every single bite! I really hope I will get a chance to try their other toasts, especially the one with goat cheese. I also must mention that the lady at the counter was very kind and patient with me when I was struggling to order in Spanish.
Best place to Eat on a Sunny Sunday! The Ice Cold Sangria with crushed ice 🧊 is so yummy 😋
Must visit! Only €3 for the tuna salad tostada, exquisite value for price, flavorful, there was a line because of El Rastro but still I only waited 5 minutes, which was great. You can only pay cash so make sure to bring some €€€.
Do yourself a favor and get the gulas & octopus canapés here. The price is nothing compared to what you’re getting both in portion size and delicacy. Sea food bathing in delicious olive oil and spicy paprika was not on my 2025 Xmas bingo but I’m glad that it made it there.
