This was our last full night in Madrid and we were not disappointed♥️. Thank you so much, at corral de la morreria, for such amazing hospitality! The food was exceptional and the service superb! I highly recommend going here for an amazing experience. The dancing and singing were breathtaking and I can't thank everyone at corral de la morreria enough for allowing us to witness this amazing cultural experience. Bravo!!!
This marks my third visit to this cabaret, and once again, I was thoroughly impressed. The flamenco show is absolutely outstanding, showcasing extraordinary talent and skill from the performers. While the show is relatively brief, the remarkable quality more than compensates for its length. However, I must advise against dining there. The food quality does not match the high standards of the performance and comes at a steep price. The scallop tartare was unfortunately tasteless, served warm, and oddly sweet. The seabass, while presented well, was disappointingly small and accompanied by a subpar green pepper sauce. On a positive note, the rack of lamb, though limited to just two ribs, was acceptable. It’s a shame that such a high-caliber show is paired with food that lacks creativity and quality. I recommend enjoying the performance but seeking a meal elsewhere.
Firstly will start saying is when, I booked this place was intentioned to had plenty & clear view to appreciate this show since gypsy music and flamenco dance are very special to me, however when placed my request I carefully selected my table moreover did submit an specific note during the process, nevertheless when we arrived, OH SURPRISE our seating was horrible, given the fact all our view was completely blocked by a column, go figure my selected choice of seating and note included was completely IGNORE & DISREGARDED. -Be aware email confirmation received after payment is done, it doesn't contain or disclosed the details of your choice seating, nor the additional details included within the booking; in another words "they can get away with murder" since is not proof whatsoever within the e-communication replied. Secondly, space between tables were extra narrow (5 inches maximum), like just to be annoyed by the woman seated next to me, specially when she was eating, making all kind of obnoxious comments and noises. Thirdly, my expectations for the show were super high, again as did mention before gypsy music and flamenco show are very special to me, however sadly it did not cover the 50% of my excitement during the entire performance. I would said food and service was great, but an important note/recommendation (if you dare to listen) would be to include a play of solo mellow spanish guitar performance during the entire meal interaction, it will give a nice preamble vibe.
If you want to watch flamenco while enjoying exceptionally prepared food in a beautiful atmosphere with excellent service, then this place is a perfect choice. Chef David García brought this restaurant a Michelin Guide star and three Repsol Suns for a reason. As an added emotional touch, I found an old commemorative plaque from this restaurant among my grandfather’s belongings — he received it back in 1971. Without even knowing that the restaurant had existed since 1956 and was still operating today, I decided to visit it. Now I completely understand why it has endured for so long. Quality is timeless.
Reminded me a bit of a dinner theater, which I guess makes sense. The service was ok and the meal was pretty good. Wine was reasonable-ish for the type of venue. The show itself was great. One of the highlights of our trip to Madrid. The singers, dancers and guitar player were all fantastic. 100% with the price of entry.
