Herzog & de Meuron–designed arts center in former power station, hosting exhibitions & performances.via Google
A striking cultural center designed by Herzog & de Meuron, housed in a renovated power station featuring a massive vertical garden.
- Good to know
- Small entry fee for exhibitions; the building's architecture is worth a visit alone.

Visited for the Matisse exhibition in Jan 2026. Well organised, great building. The shop is full of great items, educational games and books, quality souvenirs, etc. The café is great, try look for a window table and you can see the road and people go by outside. Delicious coffee.
Saw: "Out of Focus. Another Vision of Art / Blur as a key expressive resource in the new way of representing the world for artists after Monet."
Wow! What a stunning surprise! We were walking north looking for this exhibit but we still feel like we stumbled this amazing structure. So calming!
I found the Asurbanipal exhibition really well done, informative and nicely displayed. Together with the capturing building, it’s inside and outside - including the vertical garden, it’s totally worth 6 euros.
Such a cool venue. I liked the exhibition about Asurbanipal too.
